Two years before Gen. Christopher LaNeve found himself in Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s inner circle, he was a division commander known for strictly enforcing the rules, banning cellphones during physical training and insisting that troops use only military-issued gear.

It was the kind of hard-line approach that didn’t endear LaNeve to the rank-and-file at the 82nd Airborne Division, many of whom booed when he appeared at the All-American Week events during his last year as commander, according to current and former members of the unit.

If they boo’d him for actually being real military and discipline they were not your rank-and-file military, they were Biden rejects looking for free health care.

Real military know hard noses may suck but they get respect as long as they are competent.

Warriors like tough leaders and choose them over serving under managers.

Jimmy Carter, as part of the feminization and liberalising the military following the 1972(?) ending of the quota on females, called it switching from a leadership model to a manager model, because leaders were no longer needed, as long as they could manage the 7/11 then they could get exhausted men to charge the enemy bunker or to fight to keep the burning, sinking ship afloat.

“We appreciate the contributions of the LGBTQ+ Paratroopers and understand that inequity and discrimination undermine diversity's strategic advantage and our core mission,” . . .

If the general actually did write this, it undermines his reputation as being able to distinguish right from wrong - and having the courage to proclaim the difference.

"strictly enforcing the rules, banning cellphones during physical training and insisting that troops use only military-issued gear"

This is sound military discipline. It's what saves lives, liberty, and the USA.

They’ve been allowing cellphones during training?

.......

Keeping people doing what they are supposed to do is bad?

After watching the way the soldiers did a f u March at the parade a while back one can see a real problem with the military.

Our communist overthrow will be upheld by them.
