Labour has 'no coherent plan' for country, says Blair

Sir Tony Blair has accused Sir Keir Starmer's government of having no "coherent plan" for the country and introducing policies that have held back business.

In a highly critical essay, external, the former Labour prime minister singled out measures including new workers' rights laws, the phasing out of the British oil and gas industry and the above-inflation uplift to the minimum wage.

However, he warned that whether there was a change of leader was "irrelevant if it doesn't start with a policy debate".

In response, Treasury minister Dan Tomlinson said the government was taking "big steps" to change the country and was focused on getting on with the job.

He pointed to recent economic growth figures and attempts to reform the planning system to build more homes as examples of the government's successes.

The essay of more than 5,600 words is Sir Tony's first in-depth critique of Sir Keir's government.

He served as prime minister from 1997 to 2007, winning three general elections in a row during that period.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

Why is Blair putting the boot in I wonder? All he cares about is his digital ID and a version of it apparently going to happen.

It won't be "mandatory" but if you want to do anything like see a doctor they will make you have one.

So it's coercive and mandatory in all but name.

Thanks for posting. Islam has a plan for the country. MoFos are open about it and are implementing it. The squabbles among Brits are meaningless.

Quite to the contrary, Labor has a very coherent plan which it has been cultivating for a very long time. We are seeing the fruits of their labor coming to fruition right before our eyes.

The unfolding disaster and dystopia in the UK is by calculated design, not some mistake or oversight

The situation in Great Britain is in that delicate tipping period during the imposition of Communism where the public is beginning to realize the danger of their oppression to push back and the final imposition of government power that installs the police state to enslave the people and shut down dissent

If Labor honestly told the public of the true nature of their plan Labor politicians would be hunted down and tarred and feathered

Yes, that is true.

We had been discussing this fact on the other thread, and indeed, the leftists wish to destroy Britain.

Destruction, mayhem, annihilation - their entire existence.

Blair created this mess in the first place.

He needs a nice hot cup of STFU.

Its ironic that Blair is speaking up now. Now is the fruition of the Labour plan that Blair himself put in place in the 1990s. Mass migration was one of his cornerstone policies. Look upon your own works, Tony, and despair.
