When serial killer Rex Heuermann returns to court on June 17, eight families will finally receive justice.

Heuermann, who has pleaded guilty to the murders of eight young women whose bodies were left on Gilgo Beach and elsewhere here in Suffolk County, is set to receive three life sentences without parole, followed by 100 years to life in prison.

Death penalty would be justice.

No death penalty in NY and now they want to go the same route as California did with the Manson family and one finally DID out on parole.

Death penalty would be justice.

Dream of such justice. Not in New York.

The last execution in New York took place on August 15, 1963 using the electric chair in Sing Sing.

There are paragraphs of the many blocks and reinstatements and more blocks since then. In 2016 the last death penalty statutes were officially removed from the state's law books. No death penalty. Only federal cases.

The USA should have a general target of executing 0.1% of all felons in, or entering, the US Federal / State prison system.

That would be a mere 1500 a year.

Just make a list and pick the absolute worst, most violent, offenders. This guy would certainly make the list.

I guarantee you would see serious crime in the USA drop by 50% immediately.

How long is each life sentence? Are there different numbers applied depending on the state? And, how does one go about judging when a life sentence has been served?

I’d take 100 extra years after each sentence. It should be life in prison for each murder and 100 extra years after each life sentence has been served.

BTW, Xi Jinping has killed more Americans with the Corona virus and with Fentanyl. When will Trump authorize a mission to extract that criminal from China? Millions of life sentences due for Xi.

How long is each life sentence?
= = =

I would declare as a fly. Livespan (vaires) of maybe 30 days.

10 life sentences gets me out in 10 months, or maybe 5, with 1/2 off for good behavior (If I don’t buzz around the toilets).

People forget the United states played a huge roll in “gain of function” research that went into weaponizing the Covid virus. My assumption is that our culpability is why we don’t go after the Chi-coms.
