Georgia’s State Election Board, the state Republican Party and multiple Republican candidates are demanding access to the secretary of state’s election night hub during Tuesday’s state primary election.
With less than a day to go before the election, state Sen. Greg Dolezal, who is running for lieutenant governor, congressional candidate Chris Mora and Cobb County Commissioner Keli Gambrill have also filed an emergency motion against Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. The lawsuit, filed Monday in Fulton County Superior Court, seeks to give election observers and State Election Board representatives access to the hub, known as the emergency operations center.
Though the secretary of state’s election night reporting activities are conducted at the emergency operations center, no ballot counting takes place on site and the hub is not a polling place, early voting location or tabulation center. According to Attorney General Chris Carr’s office, that makes it exempt from state laws requiring poll watchers to have access to the areas where votes are being counted.

Elections should be far more open than most other government functions.
And if someone complains about a busted water pipe, don’t believe ‘em.
And if someone complains about a busted water pipe, don’t believe ‘em.
And if Democrats say they are finished counting for the night, leave at least two Republicans in the parking lot to make sure they don’t return after sending everyone else home.
Good news on the surface but I don’t trust the left to basically ignore the judge and lock everyone out anyway.
I’m sure you can understand if I withhold my celebration until I actually see Republicans actually sitting there in the room while the count is proceeding.
Good!
You’d want a team that could cover all entrances above and below ground. Watch the roof too - you can’t trust commies at all. Plus have some network/systems savvy people monitoring remote access, too - hardline, cellular, wi-fi, Bluetooth - the whole spectrum. Have I mentioned you can’t trust the commies?

LOL! Something will happen. I recall in the November 2024 election there were b*mb threats called in at a couple of precincts. I wouldn’t put it past them to shut the power off to a few Fulton and Dekalb County voting locations.
We need people assigned to watch the bastard Ratburger’s every move.
Stop the steal.

Wonderful connection but, unfortunately, now you’ve put the worm in my head, too. Allow me to return it.

Plaintiffs would be smart to keep the judge on speed dial tonight. I wouldn’t put it past Ratburger to challenge every observer as not statutorily authorized.
Judge orders Raffensperger to allow election observers into state vote counting room
“Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville has granted an emergency temporary restraining order, directing Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to immediately allow properly designated poll watchers and State Election Board observers into the Election Night Reporting Room.
The facility is where Georgia’s statewide vote totals are received, tabulated, and published.
The order, signed at 10 a.m., came after an ex parte hearing Tuesday morning at which counsel for the petitioners was present. Raffensperger’s office had an opportunity to respond but did not appear.
Judge Glanville found that Georgia law expressly entitles properly designated poll watchers to observe the conduct of elections and the counting and recording of votes at tabulation centers and related locations, including the Secretary of State’s central aggregation and reporting processes. The judge also found that the public interest strongly favors transparency, particularly, the court noted, when the chief election official is himself a candidate in the election being administered.
The order prohibits Raffensperger, his staff, contractors and anyone acting in coordination with him from excluding or restricting poll watchers and State Election Board observers from the Election Night Reporting Room or any other facility where county results are received, processed, aggregated or reported. Raffensperger was also directed to immediately instruct all staff to admit observers and afford them reasonable proximity to meaningfully observe all activities without interfering with election operations.”
