SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego Police responded to reports of an active shooter at the Islamic Center of San Diego Monday afternoon.
A heavy police and SWAT presence could be seen gathering outside the Islamic Center in the 7000 block of Eckstrom Avenue just after noon. Several San Diego Fire-Rescue and medic crews were also at the scene.
SkyFOX/KUSI in the Sky was overhead as children from nearby schools were seen being evacuated from the area as police set up a perimeter.
Traffic was stopped as police closed the roads in the immediate area. San Diego Police are asking the public to avoid the area at this time.
San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria posted on X he is aware of the active shooter situation at the Islamic Center of San Diego and that he is continuing to receive updates from law enforcement. “Emergency personnel are on scene and actively working to protect the community and secure the area.”
Governor Gavin Newsom’s press office on social media said the governor has been briefed on the active shooter situation in San Diego and that the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services is coordinating with local law enforcement. “We are grateful to the first responders on the scene working to protect the community and urge everyone to follow guidance from local authorities.”
The Islamic Center of San Diego is the largest mosque in San Diego County and is located in the Clairemont neighborhood, right next to Interstate 805.

There is never this kind of coverage when a shooting happens at a Christian church. Staged or real it shows the leftist media bias toward the religion of global conquest.
Some may recall that the Islamic Center of San Diego had ties to two of the September 11th hijackers.

This was a Sunni center. It could be a Shia attack. The Shia hates the Sunni while most US citizens have no opinion.

Terrible. I am sure that no muslims routinely kill innocent Christians and Jews. The Koran “certainly” does not call for that.
