A woman who was caught on O’Keefe Media Group’s undercover camera illegally paying people to register to vote on Skid Row in Los Angeles, California, has been federally charged.
The Justice Department on Monday announced that Brenda Lee Brown Armstrong was charged with one felony count of paying another person to register to vote. She is facing a max of five years in federal prison.
“This Justice Department is committed to ensuring that all U.S. elections are fair and free from illegal meddling – so that all Americans can accept the results with confidence,” she said.
“False registrations undermine Americans’ faith in elections – even more so when payoffs are involved,” said Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division.

I appreciate the effort and the outcome but this is low hanging fruit, we need some real arrests and convictions of major players, not these $10/hour flunkies.

Any difference between her street level hustle and the democrat big wigs bribing illegals to vote with free housing, free food stamps, free medicaid, free schooling, etc. I thought not...so why is she being prosecuted and face potential jail time... and the big wigs, uh, not so much if ever.
You start picking off the peons, and pretty soon the rest of the peons find more constructive things to do with their time.
The ONLY reason this wench was out there is that she NEVER thought she’d get caught; it WAS NOT a real possibility in her mind, nor in the mind of anyone else doing the same thing.
NOW it is. NOW it begins to loom on the horizon.
And NOW is the time for the DoJ to make it loom LARGE.

Exactly right. NONE of them ever expected to be caught or go to jail. It’s been an easy free ride for decades.

This new trend of enforcing various election laws and election corruption laws around the country by this administration has to be quite a shock to the national left, it will be a while before they think they are immune from what were long ignored legalities again.
They’ll be breaking laws but this will reduce it and slow it down, shake their confidence in never being caught out.
The low hanging fruit always comes first.
This is a sign they’re really going for it. For the SWAMP.
She’ll have to talk if she wants a minimum sentence on these charges.
She’ll need to tell who gave her instructions and the “ins and outs” of the operation from her end.
