MOSCOW, May 14 (Reuters) - Russia is establishing a "full-fledged partnership" with Afghanistan's ruling Taliban and is encouraging other countries in the region to expand cooperation with Kabul, a senior Russian security official was quoted on Thursday as saying.
Russia last year became the first country to formally recognise the Islamist Taliban government that seized power in August 2021 as U.S.-led forces staged a chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan after 20 years of war.
Interfax news agency quoted Russian official Sergei Shoigu as saying cooperation with Kabul was important for the security and development of the region.
Shoigu, who is secretary of Russia's Security Council, said Moscow was building a "pragmatic dialogue" with the Taliban that included security, trade, culture and humanitarian support.

My father was in Gen. Patch’s 7th Army and Patton’s 3rd. He went through Belgium, Germany and 20 miles inside CZ (before they sent him to Munich)
He was an armorer, serviced Quad 50’s and Bofor’s.
When he was in Munich he had a young Russian boy that they referred to as “Little Joe” (he hated German’s for the way he was treated). He acted as an interpreter (They even fitted “Little Joe” with a GI Uniform. I have the jacket) and went on patrol with dad’s group. Dad asked to adopt him, the company commander had already approved it.
Dad met my mom in DC on his way to Germany, he told her he would return and marry her and move her to Texas. And She said she would accept the boy. Dad got cold feet and backed out of the adoption.
When Dad was returning home he had my grandfather wire “Thelma” a train ticket. They were married the night she arrived, married in my grandparents formal den. The trains were late and the pastor married them the night she arrived in Texas. (She was a Swede, that is what everyone called her in Texas)
They were married 66 years. (she died before dad) Dad died in their home at 95. Incredible couple, the entire community loved her.

Same can be said about Islam. People of the west esp US all to often think the world thinks like us, and they do not esp orthodox Muslims. I refuse to use the term radical Muslim or radical Islam, there is only one Islam and it IS “radical” compared to Christian values, but it is not radical within its own religion.
Read the Koran, if a Muslim is not overtly practicing what the Koran says they are either lying or are apostates
