Donald Trump mocked 'little boy' JD Vance last night as he recalled Secret Service agents yanking the Vice President out of his chair and hoisting him to safety during the recent assassination attempt.
The President did not spare Vance's blushes as he spoke in the White House Rose Garden, even polling guests on whether they preferred Secretary of State Marco Rubio as his 2028 successor.
Trump, addressing the Secret Service, said: 'I thought you did a great job two weeks ago. You know why? Because I’m here.'
'But I will be the one to find fault if I think there was fault,' he added. 'They had great professional people, and they came out, and within seconds, I saw them take JD by the shoulders and lift him up like he was a little boy.'
Footage of the 41-year-old being hoisted from his seat by the shoulders by a Secret Service agent, while Trump remained seated, went viral online shortly after the assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, DC.
Trump continued, 'I said, "How come they didn’t lift me up so fast?" JD got ripped out of the chair, that was the view of the week.'
The President later floated his support for Rubio, Vance's potential 2028 rival, asking guests: 'Who likes JD Vance?' and 'Who likes Marco Rubio?'
Trump cast doubt on Vance's candidacy: 'Is it gonna be JD? Is it gonna be someone else? I don't know.'
After both officials received applause from the crowd, Trump replied, 'Sounds like a good ticket.'
Trump has long floated both Vance and Rubio as his preferred successors when he departs the White House in 2028, though he has yet to say which he would want at the top of the ticket and which as the running mate.

Trump would be a difficult man to work for. As his employee, you are constantly being judged and appraised, oftentimes as a form of parlor room amusement for outsiders.
Maybe Trump does it to see how much his employee will take before barking back into his face about the blatant lack of respect.

Keep an eye on this. The MSM will try to hang this tag on Vance. If it sticks it will destroy him. This article from the Trump hating a-holes at the mail may be the launch pad.

Yadda Yadda Yadda....
Vance, Rubio, DeSantis, et al, ... at this point, I have no preference, but needle them all, test them in fire. Because then they’ll all be ready for primetime while their opponents will be expecting the debate and interview questions given to them before hand.
It’s way too early to pick a favorite, and historically, a frontrunner this far out generally doesn’t get to be the nominee (present president excepted).
JD has a good self-deprecating sense of humor. For example he embraces the viral Fat JD memes.
Trump's "picking him up like a little boy" comment is funny. I don't agree that Trump is disrespecting JD. You take it way too seriously.
Trump ought to take a look in the mirror.
There’s a reason Vance got evacuated so quickly and he didn’t.
Vance has been given only 1 specific assignment:
Cut the WASTE FRAUD ABUSE in government, especially in HHS.
There is both new & inherited staff in IG Inspector General type offices that Vance can use.
(Many of the old IG have been dismissed as they were ineffective/incompetent.)
How will Vance do with the one very specific assignment? We have yet to see. He should be in the investigation & collecting proof phase now. The publicity & prosecution phase should be later... for several reasons.
HHS is the biggest spender in government and the location of the most FRAUD. Much fraud in AG (SNAP) and HUD (Sec8, TANF) and DOE is (LIHEAP) is funneled thru the HHS dominant INTEGRATED ELIGIBILITY SYSTEM IES of Deloitte. So HHS related is the biggest. (DEP OF WAR is probably a distant 2d.)
jeneen.iwugo@cms.hhs.gov is one of the “IG” handling the Deloitte FRAUD case. How it is going...we have yet to see.
To me it sounded like he was complimenting the SS agents that were guarding JD.
