SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Utah Supreme Court Justice Diana Hagen resigned from her position on the state's highest court after allegations resurfaced of a possible conflict of interest tied to Utah's redistricting case.

Gov. Spencer Cox expressed his appreciation for Hagen's years of service in a statement confirming her resignation.

He added that information regarding the process to fill the vacancy left by Hagen would be announced in the coming days.

Hagen's resignation comes nearly a month after allegations surfaced about a possible connection between her and David Reymann, the former lead attorney for the League of Women Voters, who had argued that the Republicans' proposed congressional maps were illegal.

Hagen had previously denied a conflict of interest, stating that her last involvement in the redistricting case was in October 2024. In May 2025, she voluntarily recused herself from all cases involving Reymann. In a statement, she pointed out that her recusal was reflected in the Court's Sept. 15, 2025, opinion in the case.

I doubt her resignation will have any effect on that ruling.

Time to start weeding out the AWFUL “Karens” infesting our courts. They are the greatest danger to the American people. With their new laws being passed favoring the perpetrators, “judges” and their far-left politician pals and gals are killing more Americans than the murdering felons are. IMHO, I think what they are doing is intentional.
