China had a head start on controling rare earths. Trump cut off oil from Iran to China, and uses that as leverage to get access to China rare earths. Israel is pioneering new rare earth extraction technology in the Negev, and working on recycling old electronics and batteries for their rare earth content.

Yet another area where Trump does not get nearly enough credit is his aggressive approach to boxing China in and showing them to be a paper tiger. Biden was about to hand big chunks of the world over to China based on China’s bluster. Trump turned that around. China is in retreat. China still is a formidable enemy but its not inevitable that it will eclipse the US as the thinking was a couple years ago under the Dem foreign policy establishment.
China has large strategic petroleum reserves of over one billion barrels. It is not clear they are hurting in any serious way yet because they curtail purchases of oil anyway when the price goes up.
There is that. Not enough leverage. But the Israelis are hard at work.

That would require a modicum of understanding and ability to interpret geopolitics that is sadly beyond the cognition of most Americans.
Trump is isolating and strangling China economically with his moves on Venezuela, Cuba, and now Iran.
If Iran dilly’s on a peace plan, their oil wells will be rendered inoperable. Once this happens, and it will, they will have to rely on American expertise to come in and get their wells operational again.
This will only happen if Trump feels like it.

Don’t forget the Panama Canal, tariffs, and opening up rare earths. He is boxing them in all over the place and taking away their bargaining chips all over the globe.
I am glad we finally have a president that can see that China is in an economic and social war with the USA.
I use to buy tungsten and it was fairly cheap. After the big tsunami that hit Thailand the Chinese secured the world market and increased the cost ten fold unless I had China make my products.

President Trump should not travel to China. I fear for his safety in that place. They know the push back to their CCP evil originates from only one place.

I agree, and if they at any time should try to humiliate him like they did that unclean fly-infested demonic Obama creature by making him walk out of the rear cargo hold of the plane. He should immediately turnaround and leave.
Believers should all be praying for President Trumps safety when he crosses over into that land. This is not a battle against flesh and blood. There is danger ahead no matter what happens moving forward.
