Rand Paul pushes for Fauci indictment before statute of limitations expires

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Tuesday called for Anthony Fauci, former longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), to be indicted for what the senator claimed was his lying under oath about gain-of-function research.

“6 days from now, on May 11th, the statute of limitations expires on the possibility of indicting Anthony Fauci for denying under oath that he funded gain-of-function research involving bat coronaviruses in Wuhan, the origin city of the pandemic,” Paul wrote on social media.

Paul was referencing the May 11, 2021, hearing held by the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions in which he and Fauci got into one of several heated exchanges the two would have in the last few years of Fauci’s tenure.

During the hearing, Fauci repeatedly denied favoring and funding gain-of-function research in Wuhan, China. Paul supports the lab-leak theory of the origins of COVID-19, alleging the virus originated from an escaped, artificially enhanced virus from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. He has sought to center blame on Fauci as part of this theory.

“I do not favor gain of function research in China. That is not correct,” Fauci said when accused of such by Paul. “I fully agree you should investigate where the virus came from, but again, we have not funded gain of function research on this virus in the Wuhan institute of Virology.”

I want Fauci’s house raided at 3am, put into handcuffs paraded through the streets of downtown DC and thrown into the slammer..for what he did, with the help of China, creating a virus to get rid of Trump and allow China to become a superpower in the process, I want this jackass to fry

Again?

He’s been saying this for years.

Talk, talk, talk is all he is. He is the Trey Gowdy/Jim Jordans/James Comer of the Senate.

I’m sure the paper trail is clean- funneled through multiple different research groups. Fauci never funded Wuhan directly.

Reportedly yes. The question is why Rand hasn’t brought him back in to testify again? Now he cannot refuse to answer questions. And if he lies again he is cooked. The pardon may not be the sweetest thing on earth for him.

How come Rand Paul makes it clear he wants illegals and drug runners to have due process, but he has never said that Dr. Fauci should have due process.

I begin to wonder about those who hem and haw about Gowdy, truly know the Constitution or are just posers who talk about it but have truly never digested it.

For the last time, Gowdy DID HIS JOB. The JOB that wasn’t down was up to the FBI and DOJ. And oh might I add while Gowdy uncovered crimes it was occurring under a Democratic White House, a Democrat DOJ, a Democrat FBI and a little morsel you fail to mention all the crime players in place were in power and in place during his investigations.

But wait a minute, all that evidence unearthed by Gowdy proving crimes that were committed didn’t magically vanish;it’s still there. It’s THIS ADMINISTRATION’S DOJ that’s on the hook. Not Gowdy, not Issa, not Congress but this DOJ.

Trey Gowdy cannot:
1) Convene a Grand Jury
2) Present Evidence to It
3) Issue an Indictment
4) Present charges to Federal or State Court
5) Plead those charges in front of a jury
6) Convict anyone of anything
7) Pass a sentence or imprison anyone.

NOW. WTF exactly were you expecting the dude to do?”

Two points,
First, what section of the US Code includes ‘crimes against humanity’?
Second, Bidem granted Fauci a “preemptive” pardon, meaning it covered any potential federal offenses Fauci might have committed during his role in the COVID-19 pandemic response, even though he had not been charged with any crime.

I was not denigrating Rand Paul, DogpooDuck.

I was pointing out that if the statute of limitations expires, he ain’t off the hook.

Fauci had so many financial conflicts of interest it would make your eyes bleed.

This book outlines how guilty that sob is.

The Real Anthony Fauci is a 2021 book by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that accuses American public health leader Anthony Fauci of abusing his power as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) during the HIV/AIDS and COVID-19 pandemics. Published by Skyhorse Publishing on November 16, 2021, the 480-page volume became a New York Times bestseller, selling over one million copies.

The book alleges that Fauci orchestrated a “historic coup d’état against Western democracy” by partnering with Bill Gates and pharmaceutical companies to control global health policy and suppress alternative treatments. Kennedy promotes HIV/AIDS denialism and claims that COVID-19 vaccines were not sufficiently safety-tested, while criticizing Fauci

Why hasn’t the DOJ under THIS ADMINISTRATION brought charges? The evidence is already there; its been there.

Hold hearings. Subpoena officials. Send referrals to DOJ.

He just went on Fox News to talk about doing things.

I met him way, way back when HIV testing was just entering the market. I thought him a scumbag then. Over the course of my career, several shady dealings had his fingerprints. Including the anthrax vaccine that went south and a sterilization process that caused blindness at a VA hospital.
Pure scum. But the paperwork never led directly back to him.
