Democrats downplay crime numbers because they are inconvenient. Their soft on crime policies and judges are the worst problem. Muggings are so common in cities now that the police don’t even investigate them or try to stop them.
Sometimes they bloat the numbers to get more funding that they siphon off to social crap before they go back to under reporting.

Also, when they’re forced to report details of the criminals, they fudge the race to WHITE. (For obvious reasons)
Dems downplay crime numbers because criminals vote Democrat, same with illegals, do you hear a peep about an Obama illegal that he brought here, and Biden gave protective status to, who went on to murder two women in Nassau County, of course not, since that doesnt fit the narrative..and the two women he butchered, heck they might have been illegal themselves but the Dems dont care, its all worth it for the big picture
