Trump Says the U.S. Will Be Taking Over Cuba 'Almost Immediately'
Townhall ^ | 5-1-26 | Scott McClallen

"He comes from a place called Cuba, which we will be taking over almost immediately. Now, Cuba's got problems. We'll finish one first. I like to finish a job. On the way back from Iran, we'll have one of our big, maybe the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, the biggest in the word. We'll have that come in, stop about 100 yards offshore, and they'll say, 'Thank you very much. We give up.'"

If anybody here says, “ this is what I voted for,” I’m going to slap you with a fish.

Cuba has been a thorn in our side for over 50 years. Yeah I’d like to finally see something done about it.

Oh goody, we need more protracted problems. Cuba is now pretty much just another broke dick country with their hand out.

Defensive move maybe to keep the chicoms from giving a handout to them.

I didn't vote for it but I sure love it!

Trump's like the Secretariat of Presidents.

I love the audacity. It should have happened long ago.

Amen!

Sherman once told his fellow officer James Harrison Wilson, “I am a damned sight smarter man than Grant; I know a great deal more about war, military history, strategy, and grand tactics than he does; I know more about organization, supply, and administration and about everything else than he does; but I’ll tell you where he beats me and where he beats the world. He don’t care a damn for what the enemy does out of his sight, but it scares me like hell!”

What exactly has Cuba done to us? They exist, but we have utterly cut them off. 90 miles away, but it might as well be in the Indian Ocean. We could clearly live in perpetuity without them. If Cuba sunk into the ocean, it wouldn’t affect America in any way.

I would be pleased if they got their freedom. But let’s be honest. Their infrastructure is an utterly shot “1950s meets the Soviet Union”. Electricity, rail, farming, cars, roads... you name it.
When we take that place over, as exciting as it will be, three things will happen.

First....DC will pour a trillion into the place over two years. Building an entire new power grid, bases, roads, etc.

Two....We will allow millions of Cubes to immigrate into Florida. Not the Rubios etc. But the 40% black and mullato 85 IQ ones. It’ll make the Mariel Boatlift look small. They will not speak English, have no money or useful skill, and will have a Communist and criminal life pattern. They will flip Florida blue.

Third...Our billionaire Epstein class will utterly feast. They will build resorts, buy up giant swaths of property, and move business there to escape US EPA and other laws.

“Will be a lot of people in Florida going home.”

That kind of innocence is rare and refreshing. Yes, the Cubes in Florida will all go back to crumbling, electricity-free Cuba. Their weight loss program will be amazing.

It certainly won’t be a flotilla headed north or anything. lol...

we could spend the next 10000 years freeing the oppressed. We never gain anything. Caesar used to take over cities/nations but he would enslave their populations and make them walk through the arch Then he’d take their gold. Their nation would become part of Rome.

We don’t do that. We lose huge amounts of our monopoly money. We benefit zip.

at every stop on his tours, at his rallies, Trump said he was going to toss out the 50 million illegals. He was going to stop the endless wars. Candidate Trump is amazing.

And people would say— “ Oh, before, he didn’t do those things because his hands were tied. As soon as he gets into office and doesn’t have to worry about being re-elected, you’ll see.”

Cuba

Not surprising really.

Among other things they need to get onboard with the digital age.

And of course....critical minerals.

The global landscape is undergoing significant transformation, driven by increasing calls for sustainability. Yet underlying this push for green energy lies another crucial demand: the need for critical minerals. These minerals, such as lithium, cobalt, and nickel are indispensable for the green energy transition, from electric vehicles to advanced energy storage systems. Against this backdrop, Cuba, a nation with a rich mining history, finds itself at a pivotal moment, possessing substantial yet largely underexploited mineral reserves. Historically a significant player, Cuba’s mining sector has struggled to keep pace with global demand and technological advancements. Furthermore, Cuba’s mining industry has caused detrimental damage to the environment and communities surrounding these mines, further complicating the development of a potentially pivotal sector. Despite possessing substantial, underexploited reserves of critical minerals essential for the global energy transition, Cuba’s mining sector remains significantly underdeveloped due to persistent capital shortages and restrictive economic policies. Unlocking its full potential, while addressing global supply chain concerns and mitigating environmental and social impacts, hinges on attracting strategic foreign investment.

Much money will be made - wealth creation, when we 'take over' Cuba.

It's always about the 'bidness.

He never said 50 million. He never said he’d stop endless wars. He said he won’t start one.

Iran - 60 days and they’ve lost everything.

Cuba is crumbling on it’s own. 65 years of communism.

We won’t even fire a shot. They are practically begging us for help.

Venezuela - one weekend and that puke Madurao is out of power.

Put down that fish if you don’t want to wear it as a hat.
