The Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) is releasing this week 34 notices of final and proposed rulemaking following a comprehensive review of existing regulations conducted in accordance with Executive Order 14206, Protecting Second Amendment Rights. Consistent with ATF's commitment in 2025 to rebuild trust with Federal Firearms and Explosives Licensees (FFLs/FELs) and industry stakeholders, this review included a consideration of industry and expert feedback and concerns. This landmark release is the first in a series of regulatory updates ATF plans to issue.
The resulting rules are an effort to reduce unnecessary burdens on law-abiding citizens and businesses while modernizing regulatory frameworks that no longer reflect current law, agency practice, or court precedent. The aim is simpler, clearer regulations that do not compromise ATF's ability to perform its critical missions to protect American communities from violent crime.
โThe Second Amendment is not a second-class right,โ said U.S. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. โThis Department of Justice is ending the weaponization of federal authority against law-abiding gun owners. We will continue to vigorously defend their rights as the Constitution demands.โ

ATF, FBI, Secret Service, ICE, BP, FPS, US Marshall....
7 LEA of the central government is too many.
Alcohol: Every state regulates Alcohol. Prohibition is history.
Tobacco: No Medicaid for people who use Tobacco. Problem solved. Every state taxes Alcohol.
FireArms, Explosives should be merged into one of the other agencies.
Also: The FBI should not focus on bank stick ups. Let State & Local do that.
Federal law enforcement should focus on cybercrime, big money fraud as with Deloitte. OK little fraud like Somalis also. But it seems that the Fed Police are so focused on the small stuff they have no time to hit the big fraud.

when can we order revised 4473’s
I will believe it when I see it.
They still take 4473s from small gun shop owners. They still are wiping out small gun shops over minor technicalities. They still think they can regulate the 2A.
When is the ATF going to open the retail store?
But it seems that the Fed Police are so focused on the small stuff they have no time to hit the big fraud.>>>. they’re focused on the small stuff so they don’t have to actually work.

To stay out of prison, and keep my guns, why do I need to spend more time reading and studying the new laws and regulations than I do at the gun range firing off a box full of ammo?
It takes a very short time to read and understand 2A.
Then I can empty a few ammo cans full and still get home for lunch.
