COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette stood firm on Wednesday when being asked about being disinvited from SC State University's commencement following days of student protests.
Evette stood by her characterization of student protestors as a "woke mob" and said she would not be apologizing.
"Let's just start calling things for what they are," she said. "I don't plan on apologizing."
She also questioned whether all of the protestors were SC State students.

What we are seeing is the Left's intolerance of anything outside their glass house. When the Democratic Party pushed new taxes on businesses, local businesses spoke out, and Democrats put a clock to ensure nobody could speak and they had all rights. The mayor pushes to change street names and remove war memorials, which led to a few bullies who bullied me to go on social media to use the same bullying tactics on me and worse.
They are the same people who cheered when Husqvarna divested itself of the local lawn tractor plant because they produced gas tractors, and Biden wants Chinese-made electric mowers, not locally produced gas mowers.
Then the local state legislator showed up in a tee-shirt and did a crass statement to attack Lt. Gov. Evette. He has already won another term as state legislator and showed his intolerance for opposing views.
Students taught the ways of the Left have proven they cannot see outside the way. They'd go to County Council to tell New York State's Community Broadcasters to strip WTQS (the local Hannity/Beck/Levin station with Fox News on the hour) of its licence, but WTQS is based in another county legally, which denies the students of their want.
The students who protested are a woke mob and should be wearing Mao suits whilst carrying little red books. They believe in the Cultural Revolution of the CCP leader our family escaped 80+ years ago.
Is SC State University allowing Whites to enroll there yet?
Then again, why would would any WANT to enroll there?
So maybe it’s not a matter of being “woke” here (though I don’t doubt it); it’s just racists being racist against Republicans as usual.
Evette should show up anyway and be sure to bring up how “affirmative action” congressman Jimmy Clyburn is about to be districting out of his Democrat-gerrymandered House seat, LOL.
We need Clyburn. He gave us Kamala-heh heh.
> disinvited from SC State University’s commencement <
That’s example number one million of:
Old-time liberal: I do not agree with what you have to say. But I will defend to the death your right to say it.
Modern “progressive”: I do not agree with of what you have to say. So I will do all that I can to silence you.
She has my vote. It’s sad that the university caved to these commie freaks. But I have my own commencement speaker story. My daughter graduated from UVM in 2009. Ben Stein was going to be the speaker. Oh boy, I said, that will be fun. Then he was disinvited because he believed in intelligent design. Who gave the commencement? Howard Dean. Much like Alex in Clockwork Orange, I was tortured listening to Dean’s smug crowing about the meaning of Obama’s win. One of the worse days of my life.
Clyburn relies on SC State for his constituents. The county raised sales taxes to base revenue on SC State football, and I charged SC State football’s decision to play in a segregated conference in the era of Neosegregated College Football is wrong at all points. They defended it saying being on ESPN one Saturday instead of playing in the NCAA Tournament pays more, when my alma mater got zero money from revenue sports for being relegated in all three revenue sports.
The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (SC State is a member) and Southwestern Athletic Conference lead college football’s Neosegregation movement in an era where the Ivy League now allows its teams to play for the NCAA championship. The neosegregation movement dictates that they will not play integrated teams and will not participate in the NCAA Tournament in order to play their own segregated game.
The two conferences leading neosegregation have a pre-season game at Center Parc Stadium (Centennial Olympic Stadium in Atlanta, home of Georgia State football) and play their conference champions in the Celebration Bowl on ESPN at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
I called out this neosegregation in 2014 when ESPN pushed for it. I asked what’s greater, playing against Villanova in Philadelphia to advance to Round Two or playing against Jackson State in Atlanta with nothing else? They only saw dollar signs and neosegregation.
Plain language works the best. Do not leave any room for misunderstanding.
They probably were some of the 800,000 ghost Oregon voters.
Interesting SC football tid bit. Evette has my vote too.
County Council votes to add new sales taxes for their pork projects and believe SC State football game revenue for the four games a year against MEAC will fund their county. It doesn’t work but nobody references it.
We rely on Florence station WFRK (translator at 97.1 FM, WTQS) for news, which we’ve had since 2019. From 2003 to 2019 we had no news or talk radio stations, and WTQS is now the go-to station locally for conservatives. Many calls are coming to WTQS to explain the Left’s demand to conform to their viewpoints. This is why you see a push to remove all war history. Mao is alive.
And two more from the Missus and me.
And we don't watch FOX, so there's that.
This from Fox News today:
Lt. Gov. Everette is filling a role which used to be held down by people like Ann Coulter; going on semi-hostile campuses and speaking freely to the students.
Democrats would seek to defund, and so the "rule for the game" is to even the playing field. This is defined by Democrats as being "unfair." Which is why the Democrat logo is a jackass.
Fitting this was the day before May Day, a Communist holiday. The students push Communism and Mandatory Unionism.

Isn’t this the same institution where some students were killed in a demonstration in 1970 about the same time as the Kent State killings?
Three students were killed in a 1968 protest against a bowling alley that was whites only.
Dear Friend of the American Heritage Association, Yesterday, in the face of opposition from the ACLU and the "Preservation" Society of Charleston, S. 508 (Heritage Act 2.0) passed the House Judiciary Committee and will now advance to the floor. Our gratitude to Col. Bill Connor for his excellent testimony in support of the legislation. The bill may now be voted on by the full House as soon as Thursday. We have been pushing this bill for eight years! Now is the moment. We expect the opposition to begin making noise like they always do, so PLEASE CONTACT YOUR STATE REPRESENTATIVE ONE LAST TIME!....with the exception of a big THANK YOU note if the bill passes. Many Senators and State Representatives have been working hard on moving this bill towards the finish line and we will highlight them for you at the end of the legislative session in mid-May. The message is very simple. Here is a draft e-mail (you can cut and paste the message and picture below or write your own version): Subject Line: Pass Senate Bill 508 (Heritage Act 2.0) Dear Representative [Your Reps. Last Name], Please protect our monuments from wokeism by not only VOTING FOR Senate Bill 508 but also VOTING AGAINST any amendments which weaken the bill. This legislation expands protections to all historical monuments on public property, prohibits adding "contextual"/editorial plaques, and allows heritage groups to enforce the law in court. Here is a reminder of what woke local governments in South Carolina are capable of:

GOP lawmakers seek to defund HBCU after it canceled Republican's commencement speech

Lieutenant governor will not speak at SC State commencement, following student protests
The students represent China’s ideals. And the flag of China sits on Haier’s factory in Kershaw.
