A Vallejo man suspected of vandalizing memorials that honored fallen first responders and veterans in Solano County was arrested, the sheriff's office said on Thursday.
The vandalism and theft of bronze stars and plaques from sites in Fairfield and Vallejo sparked outrage and an investigation by authorities.

Native American tribes, particularly in the Eastern Woodlands (such as the Shawnee, Delaware, and Iroquois), practiced “running the gauntlet”, which served as a form of brutal punishment.
