Ex-FBI Director James Comey charged with threatening Trump’s life in ‘8647’ post
Former FBI Director James Comey has been indicted on charges alleging he threatened President Donald Trump when he posted an image of seashells spelling out “8647” on his Instagram account last year. The charges mark the second time that Comey has been indicted in a federal case since Trump’s second presidential term began. The indictment was revealed three days after Trump was evacuated from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner after an alleged assassin ran toward the event.

Comey may have not meant himself to harm the president. That may be hard to prove, but it could be taken as incitement for others to act.
This wasn't on a dc beach, the threat was committed on a beach in North Carolina.
I disagree. Makes us look frivolous . It’s way too indefinite to support a conviction. No punishment via process as a judge will dump this PDQ. all the worst stuff he did he ran out the statute of limitations, like perjuring the FISA affidavits . They need to let it go. He will remain unpunished
I was so disgusted when Comey said with a smile, “This was just an interesting shell arrangement I found while walking on the beach”.
I did not believe that for a second, as a former FBI agent he should have known never to post it, and notify this threat of assassination of the President to the FBI instead.
The thing that angered me the most was that there was no way to prove it one way to another and I took his smile as meaning “ha, ha, I got you, I win this round”
Comey is such a libtard...

‘86’ was used when I was working in a restaurant as a kid. It mean’t “hold the onions.” It did not mean kill the customer.
This is a waste of the Grand Jury’s time, the court’s time, and America’s time.
Trump using the Justice Department to yank someone’s chain is unseemly.
