The demographic shift has a sinister political dimension if the fundamentalist brand of Islam continues to rise amongst this rapidly growing segment of the population.
No matter what European politicians may say to downplay the negative impact of Moslem immigration, they cannot deny that the continent will experience an unprecedented demographic shift by the end of the century. If the current rate of Muslim immigration continues, Europe’s Muslim population could grow from 30 million today to about 110 million by 2100. This estimate assumes that the Muslim fertility rate will move downward over that period to approach native fertility rates, a dubious assumption in my opinion (see chart below).
To put this in perspective, that means that 25% of Europe’s population will consist of Muslims by 2100 (see chart below).

Current European politicians, believing that immigration is good in any form and at any scale, prefer to ignore any problems with it. However, the demographic shift has a sinister political dimension if the popularity of a fundamentalist brand of Islam continues to rise amongst this growing segment of the population. Europe may be in store for sectarian conflict on a scale that would dwarf the sectarian troubles of Northern Ireland and Lebanon in the 1970s that captured so much attention in the media. The level of sectarian strife may approach what Europe experienced during the religious wars of the 16th century.
Multicultural experiments are fragile by nature. With weak assimilating forces, migrants tend to remain as separate communities; a mosaic rather than a melting pot emerges. Group identity plays a greater role in politics with opportunists claiming to speak for the group acquiring a disproportionate voice. I fear that is correct. While more than likely I won’t be here to see it, my adult children and grandchildren are screwed.
Sad part is the American people let it happen.
In the 80s, I taught an adult Sunday School class, and I did a series on Islam. I told my class, “We should pray that Islam never gets a foothold in the U.S. or any western civilization.” Seeing Islam spread like this absolutely sickens me.

Just a few observations on how Islam works — Islam is a strict totalitarian theocratic political system that has an evil, demonic aspect to it. It is viewed as a religion by Muslims because of its many absolutisms that control every aspect of their daily life. This means it mirrors Communism as a political system because it initially gains power and control through deceitfulness and, once attained, it demands total obedience as the only acceptable governing system. It’s a system that is evil and politically abhorrent to Western individual freedoms of choice, liberty, religion, thought, speech and life style. It is an all encompassing, movement focused on conquer, control, and death over people using sheer force rather than governing through thoughtful, just persuasion, making it totally incompatible with Western Culture.
