A federal appeals court has blocked a California law (SB 805, part of the "No Vigilantes Act") that required federal immigration agents (ICE) to wear visible identification. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in April 2026 that the state cannot enforce this requirement on federal agents, citing the U.S. Constitution's Supremacy Clause

Boo-hoo. California tears are the best.

“The 9th Circuit? Maybe there is hope.....”
When pigs fly.
Federal supremacy is provided for in the Constitution, ratified at Appomattox Court House 161 years ago.
What I don’t understand is why didn’t they know this in the first place?

(c) They hope that court delays will still bring about their desired outcomes in the meantime
(d) They want money to be poured into litigation... and hope that the other side runs out of funds first.
Supremacy Clause from United States Constitution (Article VI, Clause 2):
“This Constitution, AND THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES, which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.”
Was it the full court?
IIRC..There’s been a huge change of judges during the past few years.
The 9th Circuit has had some decent rulings lately.
They knew. They just throw anything at the wall to see what sticks.
I think even brain dead Supreme Jackson Brown could get this one right.
9th has been getting better meanwhile the 4th is quickly becoming the worst.
They do know, and they don’t care. If they ever get the opportunity to stack the supreme court, get ready for the civil war.
Anti-law enforcement laws.
