Britain's King Charles heads to the United States next week for the most high-profile trip of his reign so far, on a mission to shore up the future of the two allies' "special relationship" which the Iran war has plunged to its lowest point in 70 years.
The state visit marks the 250th anniversary of the U.S. declaration of independence from British rule, when the then 13 American colonies decided to split from King George III, Charles's five-times-great-grandfather.
For Charles, it will be a moment to reflect on how Britain and the United States have come together since then to forge some of the world's closest security, military and economic ties, while for U.S. President Donald Trump it will be another chance to indulge his love of the British royals.

Maybe Imam Charles needs to bring some Gold?
king charles the turd

Calling Trump a royalist is rather insulting.
Trump has mostly pushed things back to the states, he has not been a centralizer. Where Trump has acted in many cases has been to undo what can only be done Presidentially. That is executive order now overturns old failed executive order.
Beady eyed inbred comes to call? Let him wait.
From what l have read King Cuck hates Trump. Don’t let him in.
I think “royalist” in this context means fan of the British monarchy.
Trump will ask King Chuck if he can do him any favors, such as deport Renegade Harry or sic the IRS on him and his wife.
The Babylon Bee is so funny. This is really funny.
Where is the Freeper who adamantly said Charles never got involved in politics.
No, he’s trying to say Trump acts like a king.
“Maybe Imam Charles needs to bring some Gold?”
If KC kicks in a few million £ for the new East Ballroom, this will send Trump into permanent orbit.
Put him to work on the ballroom.
oh okay. well, I think it’s nice the royals are visiting with 9/11 families...but they’re also attending some event commemorating the signing of the Declaration of Independence...
From them.
Whatever floats their boat. :)
Yes it is insulting.
We’re coming up on 250 ears of independence from the English Crown.
I wish Trump would keep the UK at a long arms length.
Possibly me.
The King does not get involved in party politics. This visit is, rather, considered diplomacy and will be being undertaken at the request of His Majesty’s Government as distinct from the Labour Party, and so doesn’t constitute party politics. The distinction may be a fine one, but it’s very important in a constitutional monarchy.
Don’t believe everything you read.
I think Condoleezza is correct. Trump often expressed his respect for ERII.
I pray POTUS Trump simply stands this fella up while talking on the phone with Putin!!
