OH HELL YEAH! I totally trust the veracity and integrity of a poll commissioned by Ass Press, carried out by University of Chicago, and written up by a polyglot grab-bag of AP’s progressive America haters.

Rule of thumb: Media political polls aren’t meant for us. They’re designed to be raw meat for the rabid leftist supporters, to influence the independent voters, and to discourage the easily swayed conservative voters.

In a broad perspective one can conclude that Trump decided to accomplish big things with no interest in the electorate, mostly because the magnitude of the debt ensures complete devastation within a year or two and he will be gone by then and his accomplishments will be complete. Mostly in the field of immigration.
There is nothing he can do about the debt because there’s nothing anyone can do about the debt.
And every one of them just as left-wing biased as the next!

Matt Towery is one of the best pollsters around. He says Trump has NEVER a polled lower than 44% . He says the media polls are garbage. They don’t know how to poll Trumps voters.
I just took a poll. Wife and I both approve of Trump so we’re 100% Approval here.
In November of 2024, Trump had the wind at his back. His party was unified around him. The Democrats were demoralized like never before. Even the press had been brought to heal and seem ef somewhat chastened.

But you are right in that there are things that could be done.
It’s numbers on a screen and one could decree them to be some other number. When people talk about the debt they usually start to wave their arms and and talk about how it’s being held by China or whoever, but they generally don’t understand that “whoever” are domestic institutions or individual Americans. Erasing the debt by decree erases assets of Americans.
So yes, that can be done to address the debt. Hard to see how anyone in Congress is going to vote for that.
