I had to click the WSJ to verify this satire was actually posted on the WSJ and not the Babylon Bee.
I really wouldn’t mind reading the remainder of this, but have NO interest in subscribing to any mainstream media, even the WSJ!
This is nasty and not funny. Shows how unserious Gerald Baker really is.

They are so Sanctimonious.
Sanctimonious is an adjective that describes someone who is hypocritically pious or morally superior to others, often pretending to be more ethical than they actually are. It originally referred to genuine holiness but has evolved to imply a “holier-than-thou” attitude.
If I called it that, he probably wouldn't have known what I was talking about.

Was the debt forgiveness in the Jubilee year always enforced? It seems like it would be hard for a poor person to get a loan in the years just before the Jubilee year since the lender would have little hope of getting the money back.

The ridicule is of JD. Trump is targeted with parody. JD is a sanctimonious grifting opportunist who can’t even get his choice of religions correct. Say I whose ancestral homeland is Jackson, KY.
Now JD is foisting his even more ridicule worthy acolyte, Vevi, on Ohio. Ohio may have to vote for Acton to rid themselves of these two. Only JD and Vevi could turn Ohio blue.
