A pro-life activist whose 2022 arrest by the FBI under the Biden administration drew national headlines has reached a seven-figure settlement after suing the Justice Department over his arrest and prosecution.

Mark Houck filed a lawsuit against the department in 2023 seeking restitution for what he called "a faulty investigation" and "excessive force" after a SWAT team of around 25 people arrested him in front of his children at his home on Sept. 23, 2022, allegedly with guns drawn.

25 armed SWAT agents to arrest an anti-abortion Christian father.

Not even the NKVD or Gestapo resorted to such overkill.

And the taxpayer pays for it. No skin-in-the-game at all for Merrick Garland or Deputy AGs who organized and planned the raid.

This was typical of the tough guy tactics employed by obama and biden during their empires: overwhelming armed force to arrest one docile complying target, and total fecklessness and cowardice when facing actual threats ike Iranl.

This stuff ends when police, prosecutors, and judges routinely pay ... personally ... for their criminal misconduct.

In this case a reward was paid to a warrior. Unfortunately there is no direct penalty between the perps and the cost. But it still had the potential to change the behavior of many.

Folks, it is hard to be a warrior and stand up for what is right. More often there is a cost than a reward.

But we still need to be warriors/sheepdogs in little things and big things.

from the article:

Houck was later acquitted by a Philadelphia jury, but could have faced up to 11 years in prison if convicted.

Biden and Democrats targeted pro-lifers——— weaponizing anti-life laws against them:
<><>Biden made his DOJ “withhold legal evidence”
<><>he approved “aggressive arrest tactics” against pro-life defendants
<><>he slapped pro-lifers with longer prison sentences than pro-abort types.
<><>a DOJ report revealed Biden’s stunning abuses
<><>DOJ’s nearly 900-page report examined 700,000 official records
<><>Biden’s pro-life prosecutions under the 1994 FACE Act were rampant.
<><>the Democrat law was said to “protect” churches, religious venues, abort-clinics and PP activities.
<><>the Biden DOJ was found to have engaged in multiple “biased enforcement” of the law
<><>Biden colluded w/ pro-abort groups, the DOJ Office of Legal Policy found.
<><>Biden scurrilously sought to fund pro-abort groups w/ tax dollars.

Has Patel promoted all 25 of the SWAT team? Or did he just go out for beers with them?

Based on an April 2026 report from the Department of Justice under the Trump administration, prosecutions of pro-life activists under the 1994 FACE Act during the Biden administration (2021–2025) were driven by senior leadership in the Department of Justice (DOJ) and a specific task force that heavily collaborated with abortion-rights groups.

The report alleges that this enforcement was “weaponized” to target anti-abortion activists while downplaying attacks on pregnancy resource centers.

Key Individuals and Entities Involved

Merrick Garland: Attorney General who reportedly oversaw the revitalization of the task force that brought these cases.

Black pro-abort Biden hire, Kristen Clarke, Head of the Biden Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, who defended the investigations, asserting they were “even-handed”.

Sanjay Patel: A career prosecutor in the Civil Rights Division and lead attorney on the National Task Force on Violence Against Reproductive Health Care Providers. The report alleges he monitored pro-life activists and was in direct contact with abortion-rights groups to select targets.

Pro-Abortion Rights Groups: The National Abortion Federation (NAF), Planned Parenthood, and the Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF) worked with the DOJ, providing real-time information and documentation on activists. -—Department of Justice (.gov)

Key Findings on Enforcement Tactics

Coordinated Targeting: The DOJ collaborated with abortion providers to track protesters.

Aggressive Arrests: The report cited the use of FBI SWAT team-style raids for non-violent offenses, such as the arrest of Mark Houck.

Prosecutorial Conduct: The report accuses prosecutors of withholding evidence and attempting to screen out jurors based on religious beliefs.
Sentencing Disparity:

The DOJ requested significantly harsher sentences (an average of 26.8 months) for pro-life defendants compared to those accused of vandalizing pro-life centers. In April 2026, the DOJ announced the termination of four federal prosecutors, including Sanjay Patel, who were involved in these FACE Act cases, accusing them of misconduct and bias. ——Department of Justice (.gov)

As I recall, this guy’s lawyer had contacted the FBI and locals to advise them if they intended to arrest him he would surrender at any time and place they requested. But they had to make a photo op of an overkill arrest. This was clearly intended to intimidate all other anti abortion protesters out there.

The Houcks now need to sue Pro-Abortion Rights Groups: The National Abortion Federation (NAF), Planned Parenthood, and the Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF).

These abortion worshippers collided with the Biden DOJ, providing real-time information and documentation on pro-life activists.

Collusion between government officials and nonprofits often involves felony charges such as bribery, embezzlement, misappropriation of public funds, and mail/wire fraud. This corrupt activity frequently includes steering government grants to favored nonprofits in exchange for kickbacks, personal gain, or political, leading to charges under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).

Key crimes committed in this context include Bribery and Kickbacks: Officials receive bribes to direct contracts or grant money to specific nonprofits, violating 18 U.S.C. § 201.

Embezzlement and Misappropriation: Nonprofit executives steal funds or misappropriate grants intended for public services (e.g., healthcare, education) for personal use.

Fraud Schemes: Submission of fraudulent invoices for non-existent services, bid-rigging for government contracts, and creating fake vendors to syphon money.

Conspiracy and RICO Charges: The government can prosecute these actions as a “pattern of racketeering activity” (RICO) if it constitutes an organized criminal enterprise.

Conflict of Interest/Public Corruption: Violations occur when government employees violate their official duty for private gain through nonprofits, often leading to federal investigations.

Nonprofits involved in such schemes may lose their tax-exempt status, while officials and directors face imprisonment, such as in cases of fraudulent misuse of public funds.

If it had been someone from the criminal element on the left, the settlement would have been $25 million.
