Two images of the rationed meals served to crews deployed to the Middle East have gone viral online, sparking concern about the conditions aboard U.S. warships and reports of dwindling food supplies.
In the images, taken anonymously and provided by families to USA Today on Thursday, one tray contains little more than shredded meat and a single tortilla, and another depicts what relatives described as an unidentifiable “grey” processed slab alongside vegetables.

Individual sailors may not like what is served, but there is always plenty. Even when at sea for extended periods.
The only day I didn't eat well was MLK day when they served chitlins.
Same people BITCHED when the soldiers got LOBSTER!!
Mediaite citing anonymous sources == double serving of bullstuff.
Utter BS. No wonder everybody quoted is “anonymous”,
Russian propaganda.
Glenn Beck covered this earlier today.
They want us at each others throats.
Oh crap—Give em C Rats—thats what we ate out in the field in W. Germany nearly 50 years ago... So, there are picky eaters. I see no “dessert”—just a couple of random things on the tray.
I remember getting yardbird and two slices of bread and that was it for dinner...and what they can’t boil water for coffee...poor little sailors...should’ve joined the airforce—those boys get air conditioning and tasty vittles.
Send the mediaites and anonymous sources to sea on a Ship of the Line ... feed them salt pork and ship’s biscuits ... with an occasional lime.
Wow. This story is really getting worldwide attention. I hope Hegseth gets on it.
We were always fed well the four years I was shipboard in the US Navy....

Sorry, I don’t believe a word. But if such pictures do exist, I would consider them sabotage by the involved Service members. They need to be disciplined! The entire world knows that our Service members are the best fed in the world. Unfortunately, there are plenty of troops still in Service who entered under the DEI phase of the military. I’m sure some of them have TDS. I know a friend’s husband who is in the Army sure does.
I also ate it in navy chow halls and in an army tent at a field kitchen.
They must be lying then.
Because “the camera doesn’t lie” ... but the photographer can be a completely dishonest prevaricating sonuvabitch.
Same here.
The chow was first rate.
After a few weeks at sea the salad bar was sparse, but there was always something there.
Looks fake.
The story makes no sense. She’s talking about mail. We didn’t get our food from the mail.
Out at sea we had four meals a day if we had midnight duty.
