President Trump claimed Thursday that the US and Iran have a “good” chance of finalizing a peace deal in the coming days after the Islamic Republic agreed to two major demands put forward by the White House — and teased that he may go to Pakistan himself to seal the agreement.
“It’s very important that Iran does not have a nuclear weapon, and they’ve agreed to that,” Trump told reporters as he left the White House for a two-day western trip.
Trump then claimed that Iran “agreed to give us back the nuclear dust that’s way underground because of the attack we made with the B-2 bombers,” referring to the roughly 970 pounds of enriched uranium buried under three Iranian nuclear sites damaged by US strikes on the country in June 2025.
“Something’s going to happen, very positive,” he added. “We’re moving very fast. It could happen pretty quickly.”

Some digging going on? No mention of “new” (since June 2025) enriched uranium? Where is the new stuff? Gotta sell the story to the voters after all. BTW I am for eliminating the Islamic Republic regime regardless or nuke material or no nuke material, but you have to keep your public stories/comments on the subject straight/in agreement.

Nope don’t really care on the terminology of the description of the material, just the status. Was it dug up by the Iranians and they were 2 weeks away from making bomb(s) out of it? New enriched uranium was made since last June? Unlikely since PDJT last June described the Iran nuke enrichment facilities as “All three nuclear sites in Iran were completely destroyed and/or OBLITERATED. It would take years to bring them back into service...”

Ok, it's actually a gas. Specifically, uranium hexafluoride, but Highly Enriched Uranium would be great. While I'd prefer a POTUS who didn't speak to us like we were children (GW Bush was the worst), it isn't anything to get wound up about. Presidents have to speak so that even people well into the left side of the intelligence bell curve can understand.

Right. My thoughts exactly. If he goes to Pakistan there is a small but real chance he will die there.
I don't know who you were listening to, but the vast majority of predictions from the U.S. have acknowledge the inability to make precise predictions because the critical operations were all underground and could not be observed.
What we did know, for certain, was this:
1) Iran had both the desire and capability to enrich uranium to the level required for nuclear weapons.
2) Iran already had enriched uranium to a level that had no other use other than in nuclear weapons.
3) We lacked the ability to know exactly how close Iran was to a nuclear bomb, meaning that it was possible for them to develop one without our knowledge.
4).We had underestimated Iranian development of long-range ballistic missile - they fired one that we had believed they did not have. This was simply additional evidence that the first actual confirmation we might have that Iran was in possession of a long-range nuclear ballistic missile was when they fired one.
We could not take that risk.
