Alan Dershowitz: Trump could move to expunge 2019 impeachment after release of bombshell evidence
Just the News ^ | 4/14/26 | John Solomon

Famed Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz says he believes President Donald Trump could have grounds to expunge his 2019 impeachment in the House after bombshell new evidence revealed the intelligence community failed to disclose that his main accuser had the potential for bias, made a false statement and only had hearsay to back up his allegations.

Dershowitz, a Democrat at the time who worked to defend Trump at the impeachment trial that ended in the president's acquittal, said it would be "an interesting, novel approach" for Trump to go to Chief Justice John Roberts, who presided over the case, or Congress and ask for the impeachment to be reversed because the defense team was denied the right to confront his accusers with exculpatory evidence.

Dershowitz is correct. The impeachment should be expunged from the Congressional record.

My question is whether Justice Roberts knew of all this about the whistle-blower at the time he presided over the impeachment. Did he have the transcripts that showed the collusion between Schiff, the IC, and Ciaramello?

Would be good to get rid of that preposterous impeachment.

And on a similar note, I heard a Dem talking head say “And we have to remember Trump has been convicted of 34 felonies” so the slack jawed, drooling TV viewers will say “Gosh, they got Trump on all those different felonies and he’s still in the White House. Something should be done.”

They never heard these were facts and figures disagreements inadvertently on valuing documents his advisors handed him to sign. Not bank robberies and pulling ATMs out with a chain.

Even if he did, I’m sure he wouldn’t have asked any challenging questions regardless

Expunge all you want. But the damage is already done.

Russian Hoaxes, impeachments, false charges, manufactured riots, man made Covid, and a stolen election...

All led to the 2 greatest idiots ever in politics infesting the Executive Branch.

And no expunging will take that away

Who cares what’s in the congressional record.

Sue those responsible into oblivion for conspiracy to deny rights.

I voted in 2024 for obliteration and draining of places like Congress, not to just expunge the hoax impeachments they used as part of their coup.

My question is far more important. How many people KNEW that the defense was denied exculpatory evidence? To impeach a sitting, legally elected President, and DENY him evidence to clear himself is SEDITION.

Yeah, people belong in jail AND the record needs to be expunged.

My question is whether Justice Roberts knew of all this about the whistle-blower at the time he presided over the impeachment.

I learned from the Clinton impeachment and the objections by Democrat Senator Tom Harkin that the Chief Justice presiding over the Senate trial is a ceremonial figurehead. The Senators still rule the floor.

Harkin told Chief Justice Rehnquist to stop calling them "jurors" because they were still Senators in their own chamber. The Senators made the rules during the trial, not the Chief Justice.

Impeachment doesn’t mean anything anymore. Seriously, outside of FR, does anyone really care about Clinton’s impeachment?

It’s becoming more a “badge of honor” than anything now.

I try to keep a tiny bit of optimism that the Swallwell case is just the very tiny tip of the iceberg getting ready for the mid terms. I keep hearing the GOPe is toast, and that’s fair because they love to lose. However... There is not the usual democrat strategies right now. Like Shumer’s little “it’ll be a bloodbath” that got all the GOPe excited. Will see if their hatred for all things Trump is enough. That is the ONLY thing they have to ‘offer’ anyone. Sure they have their crazies that want the invasion to continue, crime to increase, high taxes to pay for free stuff to criminal invaders, but how many of their voters really want it? So all the have to offer is a united front to IMPEACH TRUMP again. But he is term limited anyway.

So who knows. It’s hard to be optimistic for the party who employs squich like Thune and those punks proposing the amnesty bill, AGAIN.

Your question IS far more important. And, I want answers!

Do you think we will get those answers?

There are now available about 450 pages of
tax-financed documents and transcripts to peruse:
<><>outlining acts of tax-paid people in US govt intel agencies
<><>colluding using tax-paid positions of responsibility
<><>targeting an innocent sitting president for impeachment and removal.

In addition to the “Spygate” surveillance and Hillary-financed “Russiagate” wrongdoing, these newer tax-paid documents highlight actionable activity by the tax-financed US govt Intelligence Community to collude with Congress using tax dollars to officially target Trump.

One question that has not asked is how exactly the call between Trump and Zelensky originated. Ciaramella claims it was arranged on short notice and that the NSC had been pushing for it, while also suggesting that Trump was not keen on it.

Given everything we now know, it is not a major leap to think that the call may have been part of an entrapment scheme from the outset, especially since it was entirely predictable that Trump would mention Biden on the call, given Biden’s own on-the-record remarks about leveraging U.S. taxpayer funds to get the prosecutor fired.

Good deconstruction......entrapment should be looked at.

“And on a similar note, I heard a Dem talking head say “And we have to remember Trump has been convicted of 34 felonies…”

And all-too common reference made in letters to the editor, byvTV talking heads and Facebook posts by libtards, to the point that I want to blow lunch.

It seems nobody ever points out what laughably baseless accusations heard in a New York kangaroo court were used to get those “convictions.”

And it’s still a mystery as to why there’s apparently been no effort to have the convictions overturned and flushed down Letitia James’ toilet.

"Trump could move to expunge 2019 impeachment after release of bombshell evidence"

Drip-drip-drip. Lots more drips to go between now and November.

Don’t think for a second if the democrats grab the majority in November, which I’m afraid they will, they’ll impeach him again on their first day. It’s all that motivates them.
