Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán conceded defeat Sunday in the country’s parliamentary election, calling the result "clear" and "painful" as partial vote counts showed a decisive win for opposition leader Péter Magyar.

Orban is actually appeasing armed muslims invading a part of Europe right now. Indeed, Russia use Islamist Chechens in its invasion of Ukraine. Russia also use armed communist North Korean troops to help invading Ukraine on Russia’s behalf. Orban REFUSES to condemn all that.
He also is the one violating TRUMP’S DEMAND that Europe stop importing Russian oil. Europe collaborated with Trump and the oil import is now now down to a trickle (about 3%). It was costly for Europe but they did it! While Hungary miserably failed. They STILL import over 90% to their oil from Russia! Hungary just tramples on Trump’s demands.
Hungary has also sold it’s soul to CHINA :

Supporters call this smart industrial policy; critics see dependency forming in a strategic sector that Europe otherwise wants to control domestically.
Financial and institutional ties reinforce this pattern. Budapest hosts one of the few renminbi clearing banks in Central Europe and previously hosted Fudan University’s planned campus (a controversial project that sparked domestic backlash and was later stalled). These moves signal a willingness to embed Chinese financial and academic institutions within Hungary in ways that go beyond typical bilateral relations.
Politically, Hungary has often acted as a spoiler within the EU on China-related positions. It has blocked or watered down EU statements criticizing China on issues like human rights or Hong Kong. This alignment doesn’t necessarily mean control, but it does suggest that China has found a reliable partner inside EU decision-making structures—something that amplifies its influence beyond Hungary itself.
Media and narrative influence are also part of the argument. Chinese state media content-sharing agreements and partnerships with Hungarian outlets have increased, while the Hungarian government itself maintains a very China-friendly tone compared to many Western European counterparts. The environment is more receptive to Beijing’s messaging than in most EU states.
From a strategic standpoint, Hungary is trading short-term economic gains for long-term leverage risks. Heavy reliance on Chinese capital, technology, and infrastructure could give Beijing influence over critical sectors or political decisions, especially if disputes arise.
Therefore... Orban is an impostor, working for foreign interests - destroying his own country and Europe in the process.
He is a helping the commies like a fanatic.

I am glad the people of Hungary followed thru in the spirit of ‘56.
If I were asked to explain why President Trump, Trump Jr., JD Vance would carry water for Putin’s guy Orban, all I could say is there are plenty here in the Free Republic who are squarely in the anti-freedom camp, ask them. I simply cannot get in that head space.
All is not lost for the pro-Orban types, they can still go after the people of Georgia trying to get the Russians out of their country. Take your despots where you can find them, I guess.
For the record I support Trump in most of his activities, when it comes to supporting Freedom in Ukraine, I do.

The whole “illiberal democracy” crowd just loves Orban. There’s nothing Putin, Orban, or anyone else pushing authoritarian politics have in common with liberty or freedom, which is supposed to be the bedrock of our nation.
Orban was excellent at keeping the Mohammedan hordes at bay, but his successor (Magyar) has pledged to maintain or strengthen current restrictions. Hopefully he keeps his word.
Ultimately, Orban was too much of a Xi / Putin lackey.
