President Donald Trump warned Iran on Thursday against charging fees on tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, writing on Truth Social: “There are reports that Iran is charging fees to tankers going through the Hormuz Strait — They better not be and, if they are, they better stop now!”

The Strait of Hormuz lies between Oman and Iran. Iran seemingly feels it has the right to charge a toll for passage even though half of the strait ‘belongs’ to Oman. It’s as if Denmark unilaterally declared tolls for passing through the Øresund. Would the nations of the world stand for it?
They have missile and drones to take the ships out. Don’t need a navy.

Everyone knows the IRGC will violate any agreement. All we are doing is resupplying, reloading and resting.
