U.S. Central Command Commander Adm. Brad Cooper said Thursday the United States has achieved its core military objectives under Operation Epic Fury, declaring Iran “has suffered a generational military defeat” after its more than four-decade military buildup was systematically destroyed in under 40 days.
Providing an update as a fragile ceasefire takes hold, Cooper said U.S. forces dismantled the Iranian regime’s ability to project power beyond its borders, adding, “We set out to dismantle” that capability “and we clearly accomplished this task.”
He said Iran’s conventional military — “built over 40 years at the cost of billions of dollars” — “has been eliminated,” describing the campaign as a decisive blow to Tehran’s military infrastructure.
“Our core strategic military objectives have been achieved after destroying Iran’s missile, drone, and naval capabilities, and their defensive industrial base,” Cooper added, outlining what he characterized as a comprehensive dismantling of Iran’s war machine.

Xi is a cautious man, but we must ask if China did decide to use its massive navy and air force to blockade Taiwan, can the United States fight a two front war?

ok, consider me confused. If they have suffered a generational military defeat, they sure aren’t acting like it. Cant believe that the “STRAIT” is still not open. Every day that goes by, they look like theyve won this. Somebody is not leveling about this situation.
If they use anything larger, our aerial surveillance will spot it and take it out.

All they’re doing is telling ships they have to have IRN permission to transit and subs are mining the waters outside their lane. When insurance won’t cover ships because of potential conflict the Strait is effectively closed.
Time to sink their subs and resume bombing.
IMO a buffer area should be established around the oil shipping areas. And - we should take their oil ala Venezuela and give a portion to Iranians but not IRGC or Mullahs. They are worse than the Sopranos with Korans. Pre-civil.
China does not have the energy to support their citizens AND a large manufacturing footprint to send goods to every corner of the world.

Manufacturing has to relocate to a location that has a source of reliable energy
