I kive in a small TV market, so we get the endless stream of fresh journalism graduates rotating through. None of them have the looks and charisma of the national market folks. They worst of the bunch get assigned to on-scene gigs and can barely read their own notes. The “cream of the crop” get the studio gig and it takes them about 3 months to learn to read the teleprompter.
I find myself wandering how much money the wasted on college to get these jobs, and what their fall back plan is when their annual contracts aren’t renewed.
