LONDON — London police are urgently investigating how armed protection officers guarding Mayor Sadiq Khan left a bag of guns outside his home.
The Metropolitan Police said in a statement late Friday that five officers had been removed from front-line duties while inquiries were being carried out.
The weapons cache, which according to The Sun newspaper included an MP5 semiautomatic Heckler & Koch carbine, a Glock pistol, Taser and ammunition, were found in south London Tuesday by a couple, who then informed the Metropolitan Police.

Who knows? Nothing surprises me anymore. They should be hiring people like Tommy Robinson to run their police departments. Instead, they pay people to go on every social media platform they can, and on Wikipedia, to characterize him as a ‘far right wing’ racist. How wrong they are.

It being London and all, I assumed someone found a box of sporks. If I found an MP-5, I might be forced to have a fishing accident.
Why does he have armed guards? Better yet, why should he have armed guards?
Attempted handing them off to some buddies?
They have to investigate how people leave a bag? I think it involves “setting it and forgetting it.”
I wonder what the sentence will be for the couple who found the bag of guns and reported it.
