A massive power outage left tens of thousands of people without electricity Thursday night across South Orange County and parts of San Diego County.
San Diego Gas & Electric reported that more than 100,000 customers were initially affected. Video taken near the Civic Center in Mission Viejo showed one of the areas impacted by the blackout. Other areas that were impacted included Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel.
The cause of the outage was not immediately known.

San Onofre.....decommissioned Nuke Power Plant had no comment....they have no power to do so.
Too many EVs sucking the life out of an aged electric grid. Do you think California’s power companies would have figured that out?
SDG&E - they sooked even when Nuclear Beach was up and running. I live on the So Cal Edison Side of town. My buddy who owned a liquor store used to make bank on ice sales, when they had blackouts ;)
They better get used to this kind of thing.
What is their power supply there? “Green energy” quite likely. Don’t these people learn from other’s mistakes? Like Spain, for instance.
