Remember how Iran denied that any discussions were going on with the United States after President Donald Trump revealed they were happening?
Some in the liberal media and among the Democrats immediately lined up, saying they believed Iran, despite Iran's history of lying and terrorism. Oh, and you know, killing Americans.

But even while the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi denied talks, he confirmed them, as we reported.
There are no talks with the U.S., which is sending messages through different mediators. The exchange of messages via mediators does not mean negotiation with the U.S.
Yes, that's exactly what it means. In case it was unclear, the Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed it.
There has been unnecessary speculation in the media regarding peace talks to end ongoing conflict in the Middle East. In reality, US-Iran indirect talks are taking place through messages being relayed by Pakistan. In this context, the United States has shared 15 points, being deliberated upon by Iran.
Brotherly countries of Turkiye and Egypt, among others, are also extending their support to this initiative.
Pakistan remains fully committed to promoting peace and continues to make every effort to ensure stability in the region and beyond.
Dialogue and Diplomacy is the only way forward!

Trump confirmed they "are negotiating, by the way, and they want to make a deal so badly, but they're afraid to say it because they will be killed by their own people. They're also afraid they'll be killed by us." But he did mention that the U.S. had been given an "oily gift" of letting a slew of oil tankers through the Strait in the process of the negotiations. That would both be a sign of goodwill and a confirmation that the folks he is talking to are, in fact, the ones in power.
As to who is involved in the negotiations, one is clearly Araghchi, since the Pakistani minister tags him in his tweet. But the other one's name is allegedly one we reported before, Mohammad Ghalibaf, the Parliament Speaker.

The Wall Street Journal reported that these two had been temporarily given a reprieve for four or five days from being eliminated because they were involved in the negotiations. Reuters claimed that a Pakistani source told them the Israelis had coordinates on them both, but held off for that reason. You might understand why that might lend to the desire of those Iranian leaders to make a deal, because if they don't, that very temporary reprieve goes away. Israel and the U.S. have shown they are very accurate in leader takedowns.
I tend to believe that John Brennan is one of the most despicable pieces of human excrement to disgrace this nation in a very long time.
Hanging would be way too good for him!
Isn’t he a convert?
The man who voted for a communist
John Brennan is not a member of the Communist Party, though he has openly admitted to voting for the Communist Party’s presidential candidate, Gus Hall, in 1976 while he was a college student.
I don’t know about that. I think he has always been a despicable piece of human excrement.
Pakistan is a non-signatory of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. They are under no obligation to refuse to provide warheads to Iran.
“Isn’t he a convert?”
To islam…..
“The ex-FBI agent told the radio station Mr Brennan was ‘unfit’ to take charge of the CIA, and claimed U.S. government officials based in Saudi Arabia during that period ‘were direct witnesses to his growing relationships with individuals who work with the Saudi government and they witnessed his conversion to Islam’.”

“They are under no obligation to refuse to provide warheads to Iran.”
The reason that states don’t supply nuclear weapons to other actors is they lose control over how those weapons are used. Each nuclear weapon has a fingerprint identifying where it came from. Thus, Pakistan could be dragging themselves into a situation they have no control over and with no good outcome. Also, the Pakistanis are Sunni Muslims and Iran are Shia Muslims. This is not like, say Catholics vs. Protestants today where they can all attend the same barbeque and have a great time. It’s more like cats vs. wolves. The last thing Pakistan wants is a nuclear armed Iran.
It has always been my contention that the first state-on-state use of nuclear weapons will be between two Muslim countries. Their politics amongst themselves resemble the Thirty Years war between Catholics and Protestants. No quarter asked and none given.
“The reason that states don’t supply nuclear weapons to other actors is they lose control over how those weapons are used.”
Now go review the history of how Israel obtained nuclear weapons.
omg.
“Now go review the history of how Israel obtained nuclear weapons.”
To my recollection, Israel and South Africa jointly developed and tested nuclear weapons. The radioactive elements were secretly procured through numerous shell companies. I don’t recall whether they were refined in SA and/or Israel. The tests were carried out in a remote area of the very far South Atlantic and timed for when the Global Burst Detection satellites were not over the area. The explosions were detected but by the time the area was investigated there was nothing there to see.
Is there something I missed? It has been a long time since I read anything on the subject.
Former CIA Director John Brennan, that fat lying f#$k better never run out of gas on my country road.
Israel is the only other country in the world that I would trust with nuke weapons.
I thought Pakistan was 35% Shiite, but AI says more like 20%.
Their inventory is 170ish warheads, and they have had a very long time to move from U235 to Pu239, which are smaller and lighter.
Probably much cheaper overall to put 50 drones in a container and send it on a freighter down a US coast. Few hundred miles with 220 lbs of explosives. Kill a lot of Americans. Roll the container over the side and continue south to wherever. Very innocent looking.
Seems that’s my rememberance.
