O’Reilly: ‘Becoming apparent’ Trump administration won’t be able to change Iran regime

Conservative commentator Bill O’Reilly said Monday that it was becoming increasingly clear that the Trump administration will not be able to change the Iranian regime as a result of its war.

“It is becoming apparent to the Trump administration that they are not going to be able to change the regime, unless you throw 10,000 ground troops into Iran, which is never going to happen,” O’Reilly told NewsNation’s Leland Vittert on “On Balance.”

“So, the thinking is, we’ll make a deal, the deal will encompass inspectors going in to see that they aren’t enriching uranium, no ballistic missiles and bunch of other things in return for a lightening up of the economic sanctions against Iran,” he added.

On Monday, President Trump said American strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure would stop for five days following “very good” and “productive” talks with Iranian leaders. Trump said on his Truth Social platform that the U.S. and Iran “over the last two days” had “conversations regarding a complete and total resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East.”

Sounds like Iran will concede enough just to temporarily appease Trump until the US gets a new president who they might be able to push over like the last 7.

Three weeks in, with nearly everything working as planned.

Why declare defeat now?

It makes no sense.

Got news for you, Bill. With the vast majority of the Islamic Regime being removed from the equation, that Regime Change is already finished. Go back to sleep.

Unfortunately I think he’s right..basically this regime, they just replace one cockroach with another cockroach, you cant kill them all there are over 300 thousand of them..the only thing that can be done is destroy their nuke capabilities and missiles thats pretty much it, as far as the regime, that is up to the people of Iran, if they cant do it nothing we can do

President Trump never said that was his goal.

He only said he was creating the "once in a generation" opportunity for the people to throw off their government.

Whoever the next Ayatollah is, assuming there is one, can’t living in hiding from Israel indefinitely. Israel and Iran will remain in a permanent state of war until there is regime change.

yeah, it’s always been about the Iranian people taking their country back. It has to be. It’s just a pity that this is all happening just months after 10s of thousands willing to do it were murdered.

The last time I listened to Reilly he was talking to Bernie and Sid on their drive time show out of Manhattan. He was in full Irish (I’m Irish. I love the Irish. When the boys are bullies no one’s worse) kid bully nasty saying ‘come oooon! Just take the damn Covid shot. Everyone is going to eventually take it! You have to be stupid not to!”

Sid and Bernie (rest his soul) were nodding oh yeah. Yep. Duh. I got mine’

I don’t listen to him.

Short of the Iranian people taking back their government, with the IRGC pissing off their neighbors, pretty soon the eastern shores of the Strait of Hormuz may be occupied by Saudi and UAE forces. That would secure the strait and avoid US land intervention. Then the Iranian govt (regime change or not) can negotiate with SA and UAE.

BOR is an idiot. It's the PEOPLE of Iran who will gain their freedom. The plan is to soften the target by wiping out regime members and especially the IRGC checkpoints which Israel has been hitting with drones.

If the checkpoints can be obliterated, THEN and only then can FIREARMS be smuggled to the citizens to FINISH THE JOB.

Stay tuned.
