A US F-35 fighter jet made an emergency landing at US air base in the Middle East after it was struck by what is believed to be Iranian fire, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
Capt. Tim Hawkins, a spokesperson for US Central Command, said the fifth-generation stealth jet was “flying a combat mission over Iran” when it was forced to make an emergency landing. Hawkins said the aircraft landed safely and the incident is under investigation.
“The aircraft landed safely, and the pilot is in stable condition,” Hawkins added. “This incident is under investigation.”
The incident would be the first time Iran has hit a US aircraft in the war started in late February. Both the US and Israel are flying F-35s in the conflict; the aircraft costs upwards of $100 million.

IF, IF an F-35 was hit by Iranian fire it was likely flying low and slow and clipped by a Manpad or small arms fire.

The Iranians likely hit it by luck.
They must’ve been shooting blindly at something making noise over their heads, because, the F-35s can’t be seen. ;-)

More likely the pilot entered into the object rather than it was targeted and hit.

Has anyone seen the video? Have we clearly fallen for DCS game footage? Has no one yet asked the question if they can hit an F-35, then why Has no F-15, F-16, F-18, B-1, B-2, etc. has been downed?????

In war things happen. It does not however diminish the fact that the US military, with great assistance from the Israeli armed forces, absolutely devastated the Iranian military. I am sure both China and Russia are reviewing the military action over Iran (and Venezuela) and realizing its a great thing they never engaged the United States directly.
On the F-35, amazing technology. Great news that the pilot is OK.

All those bright spots are AAA projectiles, most from non-radar-aimed guns, being fired blindly into the night sky.
Gazillions of 'em, all night, every night.
The law of averages allows that with that level of output, even without radar guidance, even an F-35 might catch one now and again.
The term the USAF uses is "Big sky, little bullet."
Translation?
I wouldn’t be surprised if it collided with a drone.

If those are tracers, there are 5 to 7 rounds between them not showing up.
