You know that satisfying moment when President Trump lays down the law, tells Europe to stop free-riding, and suddenly the “allies” start scrambling like their lives depend on it? That’s exactly what just happened with the Strait of Hormuz.
After Trump publicly called out NATO countries for refusing to send ships to help secure the critical waterway — and straight-up threatened to pull the U.S. back entirely and let Europe handle it themselves — NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte folded fast. In a new statement, Rutte admitted allies are now **rushing** to find a way forward:

Few understand how the world works like Trump. He just applies common sense. It seems to shock them all.

Fake news.
What they are “rushing” towards is to find a way to screw us.

Are we keeping the straits open for europe, do we really have an interest in doing that if we are energy independent.

Not even “rushing” to find a way forward; simply “working” to find a way...
Of course. Everyone acknowledges that the Strait has to be opened.
To: SaxxonWoods
“Rushing to find a way forward” doesn’t translate to rushing to send ships.

My thoughts also.
Only thing I can think of is to keep the world barrel price down.
But then I wonder why that effects our gas prices when we use little to no foreign oil.

I think the EU finally realized that if the US could open the Strait by itself it could also close the Strait to those who did not help...
the same goes for the restructuring and reconstructing of Iran itself. No doubt we will see various nations wanting to put their two cents in and getting as much as they can of the future profits!

Yep. The US will control the strait instead of Iran.
Imagine the leverage.

Yes I get that. But, again, if we use our oil why does world prices effect our gas prices?
