One of the five men convicted in the brutal rape of the Central Park jogger is a New York City councilman while another is running for his own spot on the council, but the City Council’s ethics committee is instead charging Councilwoman Vickie Paladino with “disorderly” behavior for criticizing Zohran Mamdani and his raft of appointees sympathetic to Islamic terrorism.
The New York City Council Committee on Rules, Privileges, Elections, Standards and Ethics, whose members include 8 Democrats and only 1 Republican, has taken no action over the fact that a New York City Council employee, Rafael Bohorquez, turned out to be a criminal illegal alien who had been arrested for assault, but is charging a 71-year-old Republican elected official with “disorderly” behavior because it doesn’t like her tweets criticising Islamic terrorism.
And Zohran Mamdani.
The committee hasn’t launched investigations into any other councilmembers over their tweets.

The only remaining question is will NYC be a single Caliphate or will each Boro President get their own? Sharia law can’t be far behind.

For a long time, New York City could be proud of the fact that it was one of those rare large US cities that functioned. Sure, it was liberal and had some screwy policies. But from the early 1990s through 2014 when DeBlasio took office, it functioned and was a great place to live. In retrospect, its clear how much credit for that went to Giuliani and Bloomberg. Ever since DeBlasio took over, its been a downhill slide and Mamdani is just stepping on the gas to drive the city into the dirt.

Step out of line as the councilwoman did with legitimate concerns and you have your head handed to you. Sometimes quite literally.

I disagree. He isn’t going out of his way. Those are the folks he likes to hang out with.

It’s a 1st Amendment right to criticize terrorism. Should be a slam dunk if it goes to the SCOTUS, but considering that Roberts is saying you can’t criticize judges, all bets are off.
