Joe Kent’s resignation from his national security post over opposition to military action against Iran follows earlier public statements in which he warned about threats posed by the country and supported striking its ballistic missile and nuclear capabilities.
On January 8, 2020, Kent wrote:
“Trump’s restraint shows that he wants a deal with Iran & his red line is American loss of life & IR nuke development.”
He further stated: “I personally think we should have crushed their ballistic & nuke capes, but Trump has a plan, he has definitely earned the confidence of any clear eyed observer.”

Wellllll Bye.....
Total Zionist freakout today to go after this guy! That was the one year anniversary of his wife getting killed for the Israelis and CIA’s war in Syria.
Sic ‘em wall kissers!
Check for any big changes in Joe Kent’s bank account.
"As a veteran who deployed to combat 11 times and as a Gold Star husband who lost my beloved wife Shannon in a war manufactured by Israel, I cannot support sending the next generation off to fight and die in a war that serves no benefit to the American people nor justifies the cost of American lives."
That statement: "...who lost my beloved wife Shannon in a war manufactured by Israel..." was not included in the Breitbart version. Perhaps Yahoo/ABC got it wrong. But I doubt it.
I guess Breitbart has been destroyed from within, and his namesake would no longer recognize it.
I feel badly about the guys wife, but that is a personal issue and not a national security issue.
His comment reeks of "The Joos Did It", which we get, sadly, from a number of people on this website now.
If his anti-semitism gets in the way of his job performance, he SHOULD resign.
Total Stormfront freakout today to defend this CIA derpstater!
That was over six years ago.
Clearly, he has “evolved”.
I think this “war” will soon be over.
He will look back at all his worries and concerns and privately say “I was wrong”.
He’ll regret bailing on this... Worse, he’ll regret becoming a very temporary cause for the democrats and never Trumpers.
What does the anniversary have to do with his previous statements?
Well, the threat for Iran was greater then, when they didn’t have the bomb; and this year, when they were closer to building the bomb, they weren’t a real threat.
Besides, a threat is more easily recognizable when they act on threats and kill thousands or millions; we hadn’t reached that threshold yet. Trump acted prematurely.
Yup. Number 6 two up from yours.
This weak soon to be used up tool of the marxists should have just left quietly instead of making a show of it all over the corrupted MSM where this potentially harms the troops and gives aid and comfort to the Mullahs.
Hard to conclude otherwise that A- he doesn’t care about Israel and what happened on October 7th, 2023 and B- doesn’t care if they are actively working to obtain nuclear material and should be stopped.
Now lets watch and see if he makes a show of going on the talking head shows angling for a job or book deal.
I wonder how much money changed hands for Kent to change his stance overnight?

........
Joseph Clay Kent, former Central Intelligence Agency paramilitary officer....
I’m conflicted.
I respect warriors who train like hell and fight for their country
But I am HIGHLY suspicious of these Intel/CIA deep-state types. They are spread all over Washington DC and Federal Government. They ARE America’s praetorian guard. And they have ben treacherous to Trump since the start.
They have also moved into congress and state politics
Just look at Virginia. It seems half of their elected Federal and State reps are former CIA or DOJ.
They were never a threat.
This dude and his wife are Mr and Mrs. Smith.
