Beyond Meat rebranded as Beyond The Plant Protein Company last week, amid what Brown described as a “period of confusion” around plant-based proteins.
In an interview by The Associated Press and published by Fortune, Brown said, “For me, it is an opportunity to reshape the company around very real food that is directly from plants. It’s about delivering all those benefits of the plant kingdom to the consumer in ways that they’re going to be able to easily integrate it into their lives.”
In a social media post about the long-awaited rebrand, Beyond wrote, “Welcome to Beyond The Plant Protein Company. A new chapter begins, rooted in the power of plants. Plants have superpowers. Our team is dedicated to unlocking and delivering them to you. We start at the farm with clean and simple, non-GMO ingredients like yellow peas, red lentils, and faba beans. We love clean protein and fiber. Protein supports muscle health, while fiber supports a healthy gut.”

maybe they should have added bugs
Hahahaha! I like the way you think! 😀
No such thing as “plant-based” meat.
its a plant or its meat.
I’ll choose meat. Yum!
People will opt for something if it’s cheaper, or healthier, or better.
Fake meat is none of those things.
After their response, ask them why they pretend to eat animals.
*I have, and they were pissed.
Anyone else see anything inconsistent with that phrase?
“What we have here, is a failure of communication!”
You’ll NEVER replace meat, Ethan. Why the hell did you ever think you could?
You can make plant based whatever, but your big mistake was to try and call it meat.
rebranding is nothing more than a strategy to try to stave off bankruptcy a little bit longer ... successful companies have no reason to rebrand ...
The first day I went to a supermarket after “Beyond Meat” was introduced, I bought a package of “burgers”. When I cooked the first one, took a bite, and spit it out, I jumped into the car with the package and asked market if they accepted returns.
Don’t remember whether they did, just wanted them to know that the stuff tasted like something I’d scooped out of Daisy’s cat box.
As soon as we reach meat-based plants, give me a ring.
Looking forward to the 2028 article about Beyond Meat’s bankruptcy and liquidation.
Firmly believe that people would eat Soylent green before they’d eat fake meat. At least it IS meat.
