Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman is the most anomalous politician in America today. Often willing to buck his fellow Democrats, he appears to be a one of a kind on Capitol Hill, even though his ideas are shared by the majority of Americans, including a lot of Democrats.
It is not entirely clear how Fetterman went from being a progressive, and failed, candidate for Senate in 2016 to winning in 2022 and becoming the moderate thorn in the side of the ever-left lurching Democrats. Some believe his medical issues changed him, but the answer might be far more simple.
In fact, it may not be so much that Fetterman moved away from his party, but that his party moved away from Fetterman.

Fetterman has not cast a single vote against the radical Dems when it made a difference and he never will. Last week he defended the fraudulent mail voting. When it matters he is just another rat.

I think Fetterman plans to run for President in 2028.
Or - he is nervous about being reelected to the Senate in 2028.
Precisely what a lot of former Democrats have said: “I didn’t leave the party, the party left me.”
I remember the days of Sam Nunn, Scoop Jackson and others of like in the democrat party. They were absolute patriots and slightly to the left of the Republicans on social issues of which the were right and wrong. They were patriots. Oddly even George McGovern a WWII B24 pilot of great skill. His record in the air is great, actually very great! In politics he was very left. He was also a 100% patriot.
The common connection of patriotism and left verses right no longer exists.
To the Democrats, Mr. John embodied the old Beatle song, “Fool on the Hill”.
In that, I suggest that he saw that himself, and has been using that to establish that though he is a Democrat,vhe is not one of the herd.
Why is the onus on Fetterman to save the un-American disreputable demoncRAT party? There are more demoncRATS, although I wish there weren’t, in Congress than is required.
The Democrat party needs to die not be saved.
Idk. It is kind of like a registery of subversives. If it goes away, they all scatter and we have to start over with identifying them. If only there were a way to keep them from obtaining power. Like showing up to outvote them or something.
