Pentagon sending assault ship, 5,000 Marines toward Iran

The Pentagon is redeploying the USS Tripoli amphibious assault ship to the Middle East as the American military works to dislodge Iranian influence over the vital Strait of Hormuz.

The Tripoli, which resembles an aircraft carrier but is smaller and operates closer to shore, is departing Japan with an attached Marine expeditionary unit consisting of roughly 5,000 Marines and sailors, the Wall Street Journal first reported.

The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit will take about two weeks to arrive in the Middle East, Fox News chief national sec Jennifer Griffin reported, adding that a smaller contingent of about 2,500 Marines are also part of the repositioning.

“Due to operational security, we do not discuss future or hypothetical movements,” a Pentagon official told The Post.

I’m surprised they are announcing this beforehand. I hope it’s a plan to double cross them in some way. Why would they announce their plans like this?

Oh please.

Every satellite on the planet can see this. The Russians told the Iranians when it left port.

That seems like a slow pace—two weeks to get there.

I know NOTHING about how fast these ships move. But it only took a carrier group about a week to get there.

Oh well….they will get there when they get there.

It looks like posturing for now, will take 2 weeks for the Marines to get there - a lot can happen in 2 weeks.

I’m sure glad they let us know about military operations...I sure don’t want to be left in the dark about military plans...

Probably a bluff on timing to see how it affects Iranian movement.

They plan on taking Kharg Island (Iran oil hub). Initial smaller force of Marines might strike first to take Island. Bet a plugged nickel I’m right.

It will cost US taxpayers $1 billion dollars PER DAY to wage war in Iran.

Based on recent estimates from the 2026 US/Israeli military action with Iran......deploying, transporting, and maintaining troop forces in the region...... costs the US taxpayer at least $630 million just for the initial transport of troops, ships, and aircraft. (Forbes)

The total cost of operations involving this size of force
has been much higher due to bomb-happy Israel’s intense combat operations.

Initial Buildup: Transporting troops, along with aircraft carriers and equipment to the region, was estimated at over $630 million before major strikes began.

The overall military operation in the region is reported to cost approximately $1 billion per day.

Total Initial Costs: The first six days of the 2026 Iran conflict were estimated by Pentagon officials to have cost over $11.3 billion. (Forbes)

These figures include the rapid buildup of US troops and the first week of airstrikes. Future costs depend on the length and intensity of the deployment, with analysts estimating a mere TWO-MONTH operation could cost between $40 billion and $95 billion. (abcnews.com)

US-dependent Israel is the largest cumulative recipient of US foreign aid tax dollars since World War II, having received over $300 billion tax dollars (adjusted for inflation) in total economic and military assistance, to date.

Israel consistently remains the top recipient of tax dollars earmarked for military aid annually. (Council on Foreign Relations)

Since the war with Hamas began in October 2023, US military aid has increased significantly. The U.S. has provided or authorized at least $16.3 billion to $17.9 billion in military aid to Israel in that period, far exceeding the standard mega-billions. (USAFacts)

Egypt and Jordan historically are large recipients of US tax dollars for military aid due to an extortion scheme——bribes for signing “peace treaties” with Israel.

Historically for many years, Israel is the largest
recipient of US tax dollars in military aid.

Currently US aid related to the war in Gaza has kept Israel as the top recipient of military assistance through 2024/2025.

Israel is doubly dependent-—it alone is allowed to spend a portion of its US tax dollar aid on its own thriving profit-making domestic defense industry, NOT the much-ballyhooed “purchases” from American arms mfgs. (Council on Foreign Relations)

THIS JUST IN

Israel is seeking a new 20-year avalanche of US tax dollars. It’s new brainstorm ....”a security agreement”..... would double the current term and calculatedly align itself with Trump’s “America First” policy.

This new long-term agreement is designed to lock in many more billions of US tax dollars into “security assistance and cooperation,” providing Israel with an avalanche of more billions US tax dollars for the coming decades.

Key proposals include redirecting US-dependent “military aid” tax dollars to “joint US-Israeli research and development projects,” such as missile defense and AI, aimed at providing long-term tax dollar assurances for Me-First Israel.

Key components of the proposed 20-year Israeli wish list:

An agreement lasting 20 years, a significant increase in tax dollars from the standard 10-year term, with the goal of providing long-term strategic assurance.

BTW, this would coincide with Israel’s plans for a “centennial celebration” in 2048......which would cost them plenty. Thus a new source of funds was dreamed up to soak US taxpayers.

The plan does away with the “US-dependent Israeli military bugaboo,” and proposes shifting a portion of US tax dollars away from direct military assistance and toward joint US-Israeli research and development (R&D) programs.

Means they get all our tech and taxpayers get to pay for the privilege

The R&D would focus on areas such as defense technology, artificial intelligence for military applications, and specific projects like the ‘Golden Dome’ missile defense project.

Israel’s “America First” provisions: The proposed shift to joint R&D is intended to appeal to the “America First” by demonstrating the Netanyahu reelection shtick.

Zilch for US taxpayers.

There are Iranian DUMBs holding the manufacturing and stowage of missiles and drones. Most likely never before known about 60% Uranium. (They bragged about +400 Kg at the “peace talks” before the conflict).

The only way is to gut it out one tunnel at a time. Viet Cong tunnel style only this time, big enough for vehicles.

Had to wait until helo gunships and transports could be used to supply the cover, intrusion and extraction to keep the losses down.

Marines will set up the aerial and terrestrial weaponized drones to do the advancing. Booby traps, dead-man switched devices and ambushes will be taken by the machines instead of men. Men will be needed to move the comms with their advances underground to overcome the jamming.

Jews on US soil are considered too few in number for standardized polling; because they make up an infinitesimal percentage of the US population, standard national polls often use extraordinary methods which makes it appear Jews are numerous (when Congressional funding issues loom).

Here is how polling on the Jewish population works:

Overall Population Size: The total U.S. Jewish population is insignificant .......a small fraction of the overall U.S. population.......it is too small a number to study with proper methodology.

Specialized Polling: Major research organizations, such as the American Jewish Population Project at Brandeis University, conduct targeted surveys specifically to analyze Jewish Americans’ views and demographics.

Methodology: To get statistically significant results for a smaller demographic like Jews, pollsters use techniques like:

Oversampling: Including using a larger number of Jewish individuals in a survey sample than would occur by pure random chance, and then weighting the results back to their correct proportion in the overall population for national estimates.

Targeted Sampling: Using commercial lists or focusing on geographic areas (such as specific counties in New York, Florida, or Pennsylvania) where large Jewish populations reside to reach potential respondents.

Political Significance: The Jewish vote is considered insignificant in U.S. politics, particularly in swing states or districts with unseemly high Jewish populations, but Jews high voter registration and turnout rates and voting patterns leaning Democratic, have nuances across different Jewish subgroups, making their vote an area of analysis for funding and political strategies.

While they are a tiny group, the Jewish population is routinely polled using these extraordinary statistical methods to get their opinions and voting behavior.

That propaganda fools US pols who lust after Jewish votes and donations.
