Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania on Wednesday dismissed the SAVE America Act, the controversial elections bill being pushed by the Trump administration and some Republican lawmakers, criticizing what he sees as the GOP's about-face on mail-in voting.
"I don't support it…in its current state," Fetterman told CBS News chief White House correspondent Major Garrett in an interview Wednesday.
"The president is constantly critical on mail-in voting, and that's ridiculous," Fetterman said. "It's safe. Some of the best examples in the country are from red states like Ohio and Florida."

I think for Trump, the mail-in is a bargaining chip he’d be willing to drop to get the SAVE bill passed.

I live in CO and can tell you mail in ballots are not safe, they are designed for fraud.
Funny how there was a recent court decision that the USPS could not be held accountable for deliberately not delivering mail. I guess that means they could just dump mail from conservative zip codes in the dumpster without any fear of being prosecuted.
Someone got to Fetterman. He should check out Oregon. Not one republican governor elected since mail in voting began. Oregon demoncrats have it down to an art now and no republicans win EVER. They’ve also taught every other dem run state how to commit fraud with mail in votes.
The SAVE act needs to be LAW. All it does is insure everyone who votes must show ID and be a US citizen like it was in the 1970’s.
If not, we’re dead meat.
And along with that ‘conversation’ were a few suitcases of cash, you know the kind the Somalis carry in airports...

I was involved last week in qualifying Republican candidates for the May primary. The first thing we did was check ID, even though these were mostly incumbents who we knew.
My line - “We’re Republicans, we check ID.”
Which the candidates generally got a laugh from, and had no problem with it.
These guys thought processes rattle around like farts in a skillet.
“How many Dems are, at least surreptitiously trying to remove Sen Fetterman from office!”
That’s why I said “someone” got to him. Probably threats.

The ‘Rats don’t need to win red states. They just need to win a few swing states.
It’s a pity to have to trade horses at the racetrack to get something done, imagine what this country would be without RINOs.
He should talk to the guy who dumped 280k ballots in his own state in 2020.
