HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — The family of 55-year-old Steven Jones, the man who was shot nine times by a Hartford police officer while he was having a mental health crisis, will hold a press conference Monday.
The family will be represented by a high-profile civil rights and personal injury attorney, Ben Crump. He’s best known for representing the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Randy Cox.

“ Ben Crump”
That answered the question before it was asked.
EC
So, was he tazed? They don’t mention that in the news story.
“The family will be represented by a high-profile civil rights and personal injury attorney, Ben Crump”
Tells me all I need to know.
Crump won’t show up unless he smells a winning lottery ticket.
Same narrative every time.....regardless of the scenario the black is always an innocent victim and the cops are always racist.
Fatigue overload
“Come kill this idiot so we can sue you”. It’s like a win-win.
He was probably smoking weed and taking psych drugs. I bet the tox test will be a showstopper
Did the shots resolve the crisis ?
Thankfully, yes.
It wasn’t for George Floyd and that circus, on that last. Dems still believe the cops killed him, and not lethal concentrations of multiple drugs revealed in the autopsy. Speedballing is bad, mmmkay?
“He needed somebody to be with him that could calm him down.”
He got calmed down real good.
Democrat-run town, Democrat-run State, it’s on them.
Crump's private jet. It's painted across the fuselage. Code of conduct in aviation frowns on that crap, bigly. I remember Pia Zidora had her naked silhouette painted on her Sikorsky helicopter. Same kinda classy.
Cue Baby Mama: “Why dat main hadda shoots my baby? He’s a good boy, tryn’ turn his life ‘round. He Dindu Nuffins!”
Nuffins: “...failed to comply with officers’ orders to drop the knife, and is seen in body camera footage continuing to walk towards officers with the weapon in his hands.”
Shot 9 times? So he still had 1 in the chamber and at least 5 in the mag, sounds like he used proper restraint to me.
“Why did you shoot him nine times?”
“Because I only had nine bullets”.
Shot a bunch of times.
“ The Inspector General said a family member called 911 because Jones was having “an acute mental health crisis.” When officers arrived at the scene on Blue Hills Avenue, Jones was carrying a knife. Jones allegedly failed to comply with officers’ orders to drop the knife, and is seen in body camera footage continuing to walk towards officers with the weapon in his hands. ”
Sounds like the cop thought the crazy guy with a knife wanted to harm him. I bet that is what any video will show as well.
Nine shots sounds like the guy kept coming. I feel bad for everyone in this case. But drugs and crazy are sad situations.
If this whackjob had been in a facility to begin with, he’d still be alive now instead of generating dollar sign in the eyes of his ghoul opportunists.
Let’s see , who would that be since the family isn’t capable of handling the crazy negro.
Firemen/EMT/Paramedic Oh, he has a knife, let’s get the cops out here
Running out of options here.
Social worker ? Might get stabbed
Preacher , priest, imam, rabbi, monk, voodoo witch doctor ?
Maybe, they might get stabbed though.
Veterinarian with a dart gun packed with tranquilizer !!! That’s the ticket . I’ve seen them on tv, they shoot tigers with that stuff. Crisis resolved ?
Cops shot a knife wielding crazy guy and now the family is trying to hit the Ghetto Lottery.
Why did they shoot him 9 times just to hold a press conference?
Fentanyl spray maybe delivered by drone?
