What we know
- IRAN REJECTS NEGOTIATIONS: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told “NBC Nightly News” anchor Tom Llamas that Iran has not asked for a ceasefire, rejecting negotiations with the U.S.
- SUB ATTACK REVENGE VOW: Tehran has warned that the U.S. will "bitterly regret" the torpedo attack on an Iranian naval ship in the Indian Ocean. Iran, still being hammered by American and Israeli strikes, launched expanding drone attacks in retaliation that led to blasts across the region.
- SENATE PUSH TO STOP WAR FAILS: A war powers resolution to restrict President Donald Trump’s ability to carry out further military action against Iran, which needed only a simple majority to pass, was blocked in the GOP-led Senate, 47-53. The House rejected a similar measure today. The vote was 212-219, with just two Republicans breaking with Trump.
- AMERICANS STRANDED: Thousands of Americans are stranded in the Middle East amid travel chaos, prompting sharp criticism of the Trump administration's failure to plan.
- WARNING TO BEIRUT: The Israeli military has ordered residents of four major neighborhoods in Lebanon's capital to immediately evacuate their homes after IDF strikes targeting Hezbollah.
- POWER VACUUM IN IRAN: The U.S.-Israeli attack that ended Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s iron-fisted rule also created a power vacuum in Iran for the first time in decades. As the ruling clerics select a new supreme leader, the real power is now likely to be in the hands of the heavily armed force that propped up Khamenei for decades: the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
- MOUNTING DEATH TOLL: Hundreds of people have been killed across the Middle East. More than 940 have been killed by Israeli and American strikes, Iranian state media reported, and 11 have died in Israel as Iran fired back. The U.S. government has identified six service members who were killed. And in Lebanon, Israeli strikes have killed 77 people.
House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., told reporters today that the U.S. is “not at war” and has “no intention of being at war” after the House defeated a war powers resolution, essentially greenlighting the Trump administration’s Iran operations.

Iran strikes likely to reinforce North Korea's nuclear ambitions, analyst says
The U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran are likelier to reinforce North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s nuclear ambitions than draw him back to the negotiating table, a South Korean analyst said.

Dumbass... Submarines sinking warships. A drone carrier sunk. Nearly all of the Iranian Navy sunk. The leader and most of the government assassinated. Statements by the President that he will only accept unconditional surrender and that we will decide the next government to stand there. Intercontinental bombers striking all across the country.
But it’s not a war... gaslighting dumbass.

NBC News, a communist news service.
Never, ever not once said one thing pro-American. Never a single word.
One of the big reasons we own no television.
Pure propagandists. Always.

IRAN REJECTS NEGOTIATIONS: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told “NBC Nightly News” anchor Tom Llamas that Iran has not asked for a ceasefire, rejecting negotiations with the U.S.Is it the idiot NBC anchor asking if the Iranian Foreign Minister would ask for a ceasefire? They have had 47 years to stop their war on us. We'll have a ceasefire when they are dead and their people are free.

I would love to know how many of the Americans stranded there are: From the middle east with US Citizenship and US Contractors. Both of those classes were probably perfectly happy being there until all hell broke lose. The ones forced to be there for work or who were merely visiting (tourist visa types) should get the first flights out.

I’m very good at holding grudges and at vivid “injustice collection” but even I forgot that William Buckley in 1985 (no relation) and US Marine Col. William Higgins in 1989 were each kidnapped. Buckley murdered. Higgins released with permanent hearing damage (from loud music in headphones day and night so he couldn’t hear the terrorists’ plans).
Beirut embassy car bomb killed 17 people. Khobar Towers (1996) bombing of the U.S. Air Force housing complex in Saudi Arabia killed 19 U.S. airmen. And other events totalling roughly 1,000 more Americans directly killed by Iranians since 1979.
