Azerbaijan’s State Security Service (SSS) announced on Friday that it had stopped Iranian intelligence agents from committing terror attacks against four targets in the country.
The targets include the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, the Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan, a leader of the country's Mizrahi Jewish religious community, and the Ashkenazi synagogue, Azerbaijan’s media reported.
“The series of planned terrorist and intelligence operations was orchestrated by Iran’s intelligence service SEPAH, assigning local operatives to conduct surveillance, acquire weapons, and secure transportation," the SSS said.

? What does that have to with our using Azerbaijan as a staging area? My point was the war had not spread there — it was already there, if you’re talking spooks. We have our spoons there (in numbers) and so do the Iranians.

Yeah, there is a lot of confusing news and overlapping articles out there. One big piece of good news is that Iran’s rate of rocket firing has decreased by 80%. Hopefully that’s because they are running out of rockets.
This is an example of Iran being everyone’s enemy.
They’ve now been *proven* to be suicidal.
As I posted on another thread, ethnic Azeris make up about 20% of Iran’s population, and are a much larger portion/majority in parts of the north/northwest. They could be a huge problem if they get pissed off, and while Turkey might not want a Kurdish state in Iran, they might support (and arm) an Azeri one.

I believe, I could be wrong, that the Turk and Azeri languages are like Spanish and Portuguese. Close enough to understand each other
