Operations are still underway over and around Iran on Sunday, and the United States and Israel are well on their way to not only owning the skies over Iran, but the waters around it. On that morning, President Trump took to his Truth Social account to inform us that at least nine Iranian navy craft have now found new berths at the bottom of the ocean.
The president wrote:
I have just been informed that we have destroyed and sunk 9 Iranian Naval Ships, some of them relatively large and important. We are going after the rest — They will soon be floating at the bottom of the sea, also! In a different attack, we largely destroyed their Naval Headquarters. Other than that, their Navy is doing very well! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP
That's some Trump-level irony; "Other than that, their Navy is doing very well!"
Central Command also took to X to describe one of the Iranian ships that is now a new fish habitat:

Him joking around. That’s probably a real comfort to the families of the dead servicemen. Glad he’s having fun. But he needs to show a little dignity and gravity at a time like this.
As an old navy gunners mate I find it hard to get excited until I know what class ships were sunk. Iran’s navy consists of a very large number of armed motor boats. So did we sink motor boats or capitol ships.
When this is over and the mullahs out of power the Iranians can draw some tourists with glass bottom boat tours to see the Iranian navy.

A “capital ship” by Iran standards is a “frigate” by our standards. I would like to see a list of ships sunk ... they have (or had?) two or three very capable (by frigate standards) frigates.
I remember when war games showed Iranain navy with swarms of little speed boats was going to defeat the US navy in assymmetric combat. It makes you wonder about all these negative outcomes of war games through the years, what the motivation of the planners and intelligence community is. That Iranian war game I recall could date back to Obama, there the motive could be guessed, or even Bush.
