Utah GOP Sen. Mike Lee implored his colleagues Wednesday to help him identify his fellow conservative senators who do not support the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act.
The comment comes after Senate Majority Leader John Thune warned earlier Wednesday that the Republican conference in the upper chamber was not unified on the prospect of using the talking filibuster to pass the SAVE Act.
"Not unified on using the talking filibuster to pass the SAVE America Act?" Lee posted on X. "It’s time to *get* unified. We can’t afford the consequences of inaction. GOP senators who aren’t supportive should identify themselves & make their case—rather than silently stalling."
The SAVE America Act requires individuals to present proof of citizenship to register to vote and requires those Americans to show ID when voting. The legislation has already passed the House but stalled in the Senate.
The plea also comes after Lee said earlier this month that 49 senators are now sponsoring the legislation, and Maine GOP Sen. Susan Collins supports the bill.

As majority leader, Thune has tremendous power to pressure the holdout Senators. For starters, he can name them.
Thune is sabotaging the SAVE Act. He is protecting Deep State corruption. He wants another Trump impeachment.

It’s absolutely abhorrent that we have all three branches of government, and yet we have to fight our own to get some of the most common sense things done!!
Well, this should make it easy to spot sabotage and chicanery among our own. If you cannot spot the enemies of conservatism at this point, I don’t have any help for ya.
The implication is that some Senators value McConnell’s “virtual filibuster” more than making elections secure.
As Mike Lee says: “GOP senators who aren’t supportive should identify themselves & make their case—rather than silently stalling.”
What downsides can we see to ending the fake filibuster? Is this due to the extreme age and debility of some Republican Senators, who lack the stamina for a “talking filibuster”? Perhaps those who can’t do their job should retire instead of selling out the country to fit their personal limits.
Murkowski Tillis, the new Willard Romney from Utah, The Turtle and Thune are problems.
Collins is running so she wouldn’t dare to say No.
Of that bunch of quislings I see Tillis - as the common street walker he is, taking a bribe of some sort and voting yes. With Fetterman that comes to 51.
As to moving Thune to start this process, someone should remind him that The Turtle will be gone and unable to help him when Lee or Cruz run against him for Leader.
Trump says he will use executive orders to get the job done. Rodents will sue within two minutes of his orders. Since the Supreme Court is a clown show we are in need of Devine assistance.
This is in God’s hands. Let us all fervently pray that the Almighty allows us this final chance to SAVE America.

They can start with Mitch McConnnell:
“Mitch McConnell is opposed to the SAVE America Act, a Trump-backed bill that would require proof of citizenship and photo ID to vote in federal elections.”
Even though 90% of his constituents want the SAVE Act passed.
McConnell has already announced that he will not run again, this is nothing more than a big FU straight to Trump.
Why can’t Lee identify them himself?
