The Democrats showed their true colors at Tuesday evening’s State of the Union when they failed the president’s test of allegiance to this country.
They are so devoted to illegal migration that they walked straight into his trap.
President Trump asked every lawmaker in the chamber to stand if they believe their primary duty is to protect American citizens rather than illegal migrants.
That should have be a no-brainer.
It is the essence of putting America first.
But the Democrats refused to stand.
“One of the great things about the State of the Union is how it gives Americans the chance to see clearly what their representatives really believe,” Trump said.
“So tonight, I’m inviting every legislator to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle: if you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.”
The Republicans all leapt to their feet, but those on the Democrat side of the chamber were glued to their chairs, caught in a moral cul-de-sac their Trump derangement won’t allow them to escape.
“Isn’t that a shame?” said Trump, surveying the seated Dems and milking their humiliation for maximum effect.
“It really is a shame.”
Far-left “Squad” members Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib (who was proudly wearing a “F–K ICE” badge) transferred their shame into incoherent heckling of the president.
No surprise that Democrats are refusing to pass the SAVE (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility) Act that requires proof of citizenship to register to vote and an ID to cast a ballot.

Republicans inside the White House and around the country spent Wednesday amplifying a clip that they hope will become a campaign salvo in this year’s midterm elections.
The moment, about an hour into President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech on Tuesday, was conceived by Trump and his top advisers as a trap for Democratic lawmakers, asking them to stand if they agree that “the first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.”

Dems should be considered accessories to the crimes trannys have committed. Dems deliberately broke the law by allowing illegals into the Country.
Stop calling them "illegal migrants", Miranda. The accurate term, as used by President Trump (and quoted in your own story), is "illegal aliens".
Are democrats in Washington nuclear grade stupid or are they really pushing for open warfare?
All they had to do at the SOTU was stand up and the issue of loyalty to citizens vs illegals wouldn’t be a front page story.
They lie and prevaricate on everything else so why did they decide en-masse to remain sitting rather than stump Trump by faking loyalty to America and standing up?
