Democratic leadership's choice to have Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger deliver the State of the Union rebuttal was a strategic move to keep the party's focus on affordability. But she was just one Democrat jockeying to pave the way forward for the party.
Various Democratic factions hosting numerous competing events Tuesday night diverged on the best way to challenge President Donald Trump. Throughout the speeches, universal calls to bring down costs and crack down on ICE mixed in with more forceful and sometimes vulgar rebukes of his administration — laying bare the ideological and stylistic divides that are driving the party’s identity crisis.

Really well done article showing all the DemonRats' divisions.
The funny part was the lying commie Spanberger fousing on "affordability" while proposing the nearly largest set of tax inceases in VA history.

Socialism — everything is subsidised. “Lottery scholarships” mean students not on them are paying for the scholarships of gambling providers — gambling doesn’t pay anything.

The funny part: lying commie Gov Spanberger focusing on “affordability”
while proposing the near-largest set of tax increases in VA history.
Be kind.....she carries the burden of both having a vagina AND being a Democrat. Tough stuff.

There is no division
The question is how open about and how fast do they want to implement communism.

Hearing Spanberger, who within days of taking office, proposed almost fifty new consumer-related taxes, is as unlikely as Genghis Kahn preaching to us about brotherly love.

affordability isn’t raising taxes.
they try to change, but keep doing the same stupid things.
they show their evil ways and too many listen to them without understanding the truth.

Seriously. They’re more unified than we are. Let’s face it... we have a serious split on foreign policy, roughly between the “neocons” and “America First.”

Spanberger, whose campaign last year is viewed by some party strategists as a blueprint for Democrats to score victories in November, focused on her proposals to lower costs for Virginians And then immediately after winning, she vowed to raise taxes on:
- Haircuts, nail care, and skin care services
- Beauty, tanning, and weight control services
- Piercing, tattooing, and other cosmetic body modifications
- Dog grooming and pet boarding
- Dog walking (companion animal care)
- Gym memberships and fitness/recreation facility fees
- Dry cleaning and laundry services
- Garment and shoe repairs and alterations
- Residential cleaning services
- Landscaping services (including use of electric leaf blowers and electric landscaping equipment)
- Home repair and maintenance (not requiring a permit)
- Vehicle repair, maintenance, painting, and engine cleaning
- Repairs and alterations to personal property
- Storage unit/storage facility fees
- Travel, event, and aesthetic planning services
- Counseling and nonmedical personal counseling services
- Delivery and shipping services
- Delivery tax on Amazon, FedEx, and UPS orders (Northern Virginia)
- Delivery tax on Uber Eats and DoorDash orders (Northern Virginia)
- New personal property tax on electric leaf blowers and electric landscaping equipment
- Event/concert tax
- Fantasy sports operator tax
- Gun and ammunition tax
That's going to really drive affordability!

On my local news this morning they were showing the average price of gas in the nation vs. WASHINGTON state where I live $2.95 to $4.35.
Their expert attributes that to change in seasonal blends, but not to the highest tax in the US.
