Donald Trump has claimed Gavin Newsom has dropped out of the presidential race following a war of words with the California Governor’s wife.
The president posted on Truth Social on Monday night: “Wow! Gavin Newscum just dropped out of the Presidential Race!!!”
Newsom’s press team quickly hit back, writing on X: “WOW. THE PRESIDENT IS SUNDOWNING HARDER THAN USUAL TONIGHT!!!”

Activist and actor Rose McGowan appeared alongside California gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder at a press conference on Sunday, two days before the state’s recall election.
McGowan, a leading figure in the #MeToo movement, accused the wife of Elder’s opponent, Gov. Gavin Newsom, of trying to silence her about movie producer Harvey Weinstein, The Washington Post’s Dave Weigel reported.
In a statement provided to Insider, a spokesperson for Jennifer Siebel Newsom said McGowan’s claim was a “complete fabrication.”. . .

Yup. He might have aspirations of winning in ‘28 but after that, he’s lost the black vote. That little spiel went over like a lead balloon. After what he’s been doing to CA the past few years, it should be the final nail in his coffin.
Trump should make the same claim about every prominent whacko that the Democrats have. TDS will make them want to get in the race or stay in the race.
